antonio benitez
Gormley only bright spot in the attack and he failng genuinely thought Higgins would be top scorer In this league by country mile but nothing overweight and lazy Campbell not a goal their lies the problem
maccanee
Really poor game against opposition who's game plan was to keep a clean sheet and waste as much time as possible. It speaks volumes of our performance that their game plan gave them 3 points.
the bigger picture
So you blame the chairman for two poor performances against Queens Park? Using your logic - or lack of - I blame you for them. Mr A is the man in charge of the purse strings along with his dwindling Board. If he wishes larger numbers to attend then the product has to be better. cfcuk
Two questions; What do Clyde hope to achieve by hoofing the ball up to Gormley with no support? What does Scott McLaughlin bring to the team that guarantees him a game every week? Genuine question, what does he do? not great fan of mclaughlin but wouldn't single him out today we could do with bit more energy in midfield think him and jp to similar wouldn't lose any sleep if he was left out team
The Spider
Fair play to QP today for a masterclass in how to win 1-0, not that we tested them to any great length. For all their break ups in play, and packing men behind the ball, they dealt comfortably with anything we could throw at them and attacked quickly on the break. However, we won't be winning any league based on that performance. etc. Well balanced accurate account of today's fayre. Expected Clyde to come all guns blazing for us right at the start, similar to the last game when we could have been three down after 15 minutes. This time however they tried to pass their way around us for the first 10 minutes, looked reasonably competent at it, and then abandoned it in favour of hoofball which played right into our hands, Disappointed in QP's lack of ambition at times, but to win away to fellow title contenders without playing well is testament to Gus's organisational capabilities. Fortunately we're better than that (as Clyde presumably are too), so both sets of supporters will have better performances to look forward to. Still anybody's league, and it would be a brave man who'd put money on an outright winner at this stage.
Jack Burton
Try coming for more than 1 game at a time then, can't guarantee a great spectacle every week. Exactly, there is far too many on here who only pipe up the minute something negative happens with the club on or off the park. There have been a number of decent performances and goals this season. Hampden Diehard
I wont give credit to QP or any sort of praise - may be seethe - but what an awful way to play, with a back 4/5/6/7 constantly behind the ball. I considered Queens Park one of the better footballing sides in the division when they had the likes of McBride, Anderson & Longworth - and although they would be hard to replace, they appear to have sacrificed all of that. Clinical time wasting from very early on, and pathetic tactics of moving a player about to be substituted to the far side of the park to waste time(did the same the 1st game at Broadwood when they were coasting at 2-0) is hardly needed when we're paying to watch a game in the lowest tier of Scottish Football. It's difficult to play around or through such a formation - but it's something Clyde have struggled with for years. Remember Terry Christie? FFS - how can you post anything criticising another team when Ferguson's only tactic is punting the ball up the park. Every game we've played you since he arrived has been the same. QPSAFalkirkFirm
907 at the game, hopefully that level of attendance maintains. Corresponding fixture last season at Hampden was over two thousand. Easily 300+ in the QP end today. Great support. Great team. Great club. Thank the gods that Scottish football has the Good and the Righteous men of Queen's Park to balance the Evil and Treachery of Barry Ferguson and his dancing bears. We already knew of his disdain for Scottish football but even looking up from the gutter he still found a new level to drag our beautiful game down to this afternoon. The man is a plook on the face of humanity. What on earth were the Grand Masters of Lodge Broadwood thinking of when they brought this apology of a human being into their midst. Just how desperate can these men get? All hail Gus. Gus is King.
Alf Stamp Army
Fair play to QP today for a masterclass in how to win 1-0. fair comment and heartening that not all Clyde fans on here are delusional wind up merchantsPoor game but great 3 points and keeps us in the mix We defended stoutly in 2nd half but sat too deep and didn't retain possession as well as we usually do Expected better from Clyde tbh after recent run and win at Annan last week but Barry's tactics seemed to be hoofball to either gormley or Linton with little variation Expected more from ferguson but glad he didn't see much service given burns defensive limitations Great to see carter back for us chased lost causes as usual be interesting to see whether Gus has another loan forward lined up to replace duggan Eamonn brophy's on my wish list! FREDDYFRY
When we have to break down opposition we do not have the players in midfield to do so. None of the central 3 are anywhere near creative enough. Beyond me why Mitchell does not start whether in midfield or right wing back. Durie is awful but now back to starting every game as usual, poor touch, caught too far up the park too often and generally very average. As we all say long ball to Gormley not going to work: 1/ he does not hold the ball up well enough. 2/ teams in this league have enough hairy arsed defenders who spend their whole career defending long aimless passes up the park and putting their head on the end of everything above chest height. 3/ if we persist with Gormley then he needs support, please stop the one up top nonsense, we are playing in the lowest level FFS! Again, just my opinion but until we manage to have creativity in the middle of the park we will continue to see games and results like today and Arbroath game. maccanee
Thank the gods that Scottish football has the Good and the Righteous men of Queen's Park You must have missed the endless time-wasting from the keeper then. That, and him instructing players to feign injury to run the clock down. How many professionals has your amateur club fielded this year? "To play for the sake of playing" is light years away from your current tactics and set-up.

The Spider
Annie, it's a New Year ffs, give Macca a break - it must be very painful for him to see Bazza's assembly of well-paid (for this league anyway) mercenaries be given a lesson in the professional aspects of the game by a team of players, not one of whom gets paid for attempting to do so, and who then get kicked off the park for succeeding in doing so - 4 bookings and 15 fouls v 1 and 3 tell you all you need to know about how Clyde prefer to play the beautiful game
