Strange that such a large proportion of sevco fans stayed away last season when they were playing second fiddle to Hearts. It's almost as though their fans are fair weather glory hunting scum or something.

tbf the crowds were "disillusioned" about allys management long before hearts and pretty much the rest of the championship were embarrassing us, it was only a matter of time before the fans fucked off because of his awful style of football, the results inevitably played a part in it

also, aberdeen have had a much bigger rise since the potential for a second place finish appeared, dont see you having a go at their "fair weather glory hunting scum"

but again its expected tbh

yup, trust me in the division below even though we went undefeated fans were beginning to f**k off, not show up etc, ST numbers meant crowds looked good but in reality they were shite

fans were scunnered by ally after division 3, we gave him one more season and when the young boys got farmed out on loan or moved on, while we kept c***s like ian black, jon daly etc, a lot of the fanbase had enough and didnt renew

remember there was no guarantee this season that it would be better given we barely spent a penny, but a new gaffer was all the difference and fans gave it a chance

There was no guarantee but, with all due respect to Paisley's finest, the fact that St Mirren replaced Hearts should have been a fairly strong hint

think it was more what hibs would do given they had a year of a settled squad kinda while ours was pretty much brand new, im sure the 6-2 horsing of hibs in the cup helped shift a few more tickets lol

it was bad under ally though, lots of the non returners were family guys, trying to keep two weans under 12 happy while watching that turgid shite from mccoist was the final blow, i know one guy who couldnt justify spending the better part of a grand on him and his two boys for them to be bored before the 20 minute mark under ally, he went back but his 2 boys didnt,

Thing is playing entertaining football is the main reason supporters come back, maybe better football that what the supporters are used to and word gets around. Same for Rangers as it is for Aberdeen or anyone else.

As Celtic are proving, winning most of your games doesn't mean anything to a good number of their fans, its how they are winning. Celtic above all in their situation should be doing more to keep their fans coming back and not just for their Euro matches, such as signing players who will entertain their fans, the wow factor which is currently missing instead there is apathy and a 'lets wait on Rangers getting up outlook before we try'.

Agreed, with football being a family sport now more than ever, its imperative that clubs entertain fans more than ever
