When people call the U.S. a civilsed Western democracy there is only one of these words that may be accurate and that one depends on your geographic starting point. China, Democratic Republic of Congo, Iran, Pakistan, Yemen, Nigeria, Saudi Arabia, and the United States. Aye, but some of these US kids have done incredibly horrific things; the sort of things that you don't really imagine kids doing here. I know it's being lazily broad brush on American mores in general, but there does seem to be a different attitude over there in terms of what is acceptable, even for mad lunatics.
