Sir Tarmo Kink
Woeful first half by PSG going in 1-0 down. Excellent second half though, Neymar running the show as per scoring and setting up Mbappe to take the lead. Montpellier went down to 10 and it showed as Icardi added another to win 3-1.

Robin.Hood
Goal-line technology will not be operational in tonight's Ligue 1 clash between Nice & Toulouse because rats have eaten through some vital electric cables. Rats!

There’s an obscure 8th tier club still in it. SSEP Hombourg-Haut who beat Auxerra 2-1 in the last round and are at home to tier 5 AS Prix-lès-Mézières today.
GNU_Linux
No major shocks in todays Coupe De France matches although Marseille were taken to penalties by 4th tier Trélissac. The lowest ranked team in round of 64th, 8th tier SSEP Hombourg Haut are out after losing to 5th tier AS Prix-lès Mézières. The lowest ranked teams left are Athletico Marseille, FC Limonest, ESM Gonfreville & Prix-lès Mézières all of the 5th tier. Technically speaking JS Saint Pierroise of Reunion are the lowest ranked as teams from the overseas territories are classed as tier 6 for Coupe de France purposes as thats when the fully regional leagues start in France. Bottom of Ligue 1 Toulouse's emptying from the cup by 4th tier Saint Pryvé Saint Hilaire was the final straw for the board & Alain Casanova has been punted as manager. Reserve team manager Denis Zanko is caretaker.
Meatwad
Marseille have ruffled a few feathers my keeping their share of the gate receipts instead giving all of it to their 4th division opponents, Trelissac. Goes against the traditions of the Coupe de France, the big teams always give all the money to the smaller one when they play away. That match between Trelissac and Marseille going to penalties was about as seismic as it got in the Coupe on Sunday, although Brest were beaten by Ligue 2 side Lorient - who are going great guns at the top end of the second tier. St. Etienne breezed past Bastia-Borgo from the third tier, Lille conceded two late goals at Raon but saw it out 3-2, Montpellie squaked through against sixth tier opposition 1-0, Angers beat Dieppe 3-1 and Dijon beat Valenciennes 2-1. PSG beat sixth tier Linas-Montlhery 6-0, but the hosts missed a penalty at 1-0 down and it could have been made interesting, a minute later Cavani scored to kill the tie. Cavani and Pablo Sarabia got two goals each with Adil Aouchiche and Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting splitting the other two goals. I strongly suspect there might be "scenes" at it which should make a typical end of season game interesting
Meatwad
One more tie to finish up the round and it featured another shock as Rouen, plagued by financial problems in recent times, emptied Ligue 1 side Metz 3-0. Rouen were in Ligue 2 in 2003/04 but were relegated that season and the one after, they made it back to the third tier in 2013 but were again demoted three divisions due to financial problems. The DNCG, [the French taxman as it were] absolutely do not f**k about and are extremely stringent about their financial fair play.

Sir Tarmo Kink
I was listening to Football Weekly this morning and apparently Florent Sinama Pongolle plays for the team from Reunion. He did last season, but apparently retired now. Heard of a few French players playing in these French overseas departments. Ex-ICT defender Lionel Djebi-Zadi did it, although I think Pongolle is actually from Reunion.
