Allan Jacobsen
Bordeaux have been relegated to third tier Championnat National due to their financial situation. They've got a week to appeal the decision.

Derry Alli
Thought I'd give the PSG v Marseille game a watch. David Ginola kicking things off, he's still an absolute dreamboat. PSG should be a couple up in the first five minutes.
Eednud
Ligue 1 sides enter the Coupe de France this weekend with 2 guaranteed elimination as Lille v Troyes and Strasbourg v Angers. Only overseas side still in it is La Tamponnaise from Réunion away to RC Grasse (4), six level 6:clubs still in it with US Pays de Cassel receiving a bye as their potential opponent, EF Reims Saint-Anne or Wasquehal Football were both eliminated after a riot causing their game to be abandoned and the Wasquehal coach hospitalised. Other level 6 ties are AS La Châ*****neraie v Lorient (1), Stade Pontivyen v Les Herbiers VF (4), FC Loon-Plage v Reims (1), FCO Strasbourg Koenigshoffen 06 v Clermont (1) and ES Villerupt-Thil v Annecy (2). Fans of ASM Belfort (4) must be happy having a home tie v Olympique Saint-Quentin after away ties in Round 8 and having to travel to Tahiti in Round 7. Likewise Évreux FC 27 (4) at home to Bastia (2) after travelling to French Guiana last round. Allez lez Tamponnaises!
Eednud
US Pays de Cassel (6) didn’t get a bye after all as EF Reims Saint-Anne (5) and Wasquehal Football (4) were reinstated after both protested. Game was replayed on 11 Jan withe Wasquehal winning 4-2 on pens after 0-0. On Saturday US Pays de Cassel beat Wasquehal 5-4 on pens after 1-1. In the next round they’ve been drawn at home to PSG. Only one other level 6 side made it through, FCO Strasbourg-Koenigshoffen 06 who knocked out Clermont (1) 4-3 on pens after 0-0 and have been drawn at home to Angers (1),

There is one all level 2 tie, Paris FC v Annecy with two other level 2 sides, Rodez away to Auxerre (1) and Grenoble away to the lowest ranked side still in it, Vierzon FC (4).
Theroadlesstravelled
Former Rangers and Aston Villa boss Steven Gerrard has attracted interest from Paris St-Germain as a potential replacement for manager Christophe Galtier. They’re annoyed they missed out on Dychey.

jagfox
OL vs Montpellier game was mental. OL led through Lacazette, then Elye Wahi stepped up with 4 goals. Lacazette (2) and Lovren got OL level. Form Celt, Christopher Jullien then gives a penalty away in injury time, which Lacazette slots home to win 5-4
Allan Jacobsen
Nancy have been relegated to semi-pro/amateur fourth level National 2. In 2017 (six seasons ago), they were in Ligue 1 albeit they had just been relegated. As someone who likes Saint Etienne, Laurent Battles is a disgrace of a manager. Truly incompetent. Signings like Gaetan Charbonnier (who did his ACL 5 games in) and Niels Nkounkou on loan from Everton have made him look considerably better than he actually is. He's previously said that he wants to build the team based on how he got Troyes promoted a few seasons ago. Troyes are shite and are back in Ligue 2. If he stays, they'll end up in National 1.
GNU_Linux
Bordeaux vs Rodez AF in Ligue 2 abandoned with Rodez 1-0 up after a Bordeuax fan attacked Rodez goal scorer Lucas Buades who suffered a concussion. Rodez needed a win to stay up & I assume they'll be awarded the three points with Bordeaux getting docked points plus fined & restrictions on supporters of some kind. Bordeaux won'be too popular with FC Annecy who'd go down instead. Edited June 2, 2023 by GNU_Linux
Binos
The Rodex player should be banned indefinitely for feigning concussion Football is a mess of cheating c**t players and managers in every game plus fans misbehaving

Jeff Venom
That's so bad. I'm sure Bordeaux will be hammered etc but the state of those two players falling over, they've done a dreadful job of making it look real if there's actually something fishy going on.
