mizfit
Just read on twitter, no idea how much of it is true, but apparently Douglas Ross has done the least amount of work of all elected Scottish Tory MP's.

Any mention by the Guardian as to why, as a nation we seem determined to grow this destructive import to enhance our own home grown lawlessness? The figures for the Capital are truly shocking.

WhiteRoseKillie
I think the fact that your party has absolutely destroyed policing may have something to do with it. Yep. Policing, education, healthcare, prisons.. A suspicious person might see some kind of pattern developing here.As could a bright five year old.

NotThePars
It's equal parts embarrassing and hilarious that you still have posters like oaksoft insisting that austerity is necessary when you read the above. A failed economic and ideological model.

Jmothecat2
The Lib Dems are the only uk-wide party who are fully opposed to withdrawing from the EU. That's a lot of potential votes to gain, you've got the Tories going to the right, Labour to the left, abandoning the centre ground. That leaves even more potential votes to gain. Yet the Lib Dems pick someone from the old guard, who is widely associated with the coalition. The Lib Dems should be in a great position right now but they are determined to shoot themselves in the foot.
NotThePars
This is all assuming that people are going to blindly vote for an anti-brexit party. Corbyn played a good game in pretty much ignoring the issue, which was the opposite of what May was banking on, and instead built up an undeniably comprehensive social democratic manifesto and people responded to it much more than anticipated. If the Lib Dems can build a manifesto that appeals to more than your boyfriend with their anti-Brexit and pro-marijuana views then fair enough they *could* do well but appointing Cable who has a ton of baggage and was recently moaning about the irrational cult of youth isn't a good start.
mjw
Sir Vince Lib Dem leader. No surprise. That news sent Duncan Hothersall heading for his twitter to claim a wee victory.Labour are the only main party with a democratically elected leader.Absolutely shameless from a Blairite who still hates Corbyn.

If the Lib Dems were going to gain anti-Brexit votes then they would have done so during their anti-Brexit election campaign for the 'Brexit parliament'. They failed to do so as they have no credibility as a political party and so enjoy next to no influence over the Brexit process. In all probability the deal will be done by the time another election is called so that stance will be utterly irrelevant. They are a busted flush.

It's what happens after Brexit turns out to be a bad move economically that is the potential game changer. The SNP looked dead and buried in 1983 and even devolution wasn't being taken all the seriously. They bounced back because the underlying reasons that made a stronger Scottish dimension to the political process likely to unfold hadn't really changed in the 9 years since 1974 despite the serious tactical blunders they made in the late 1970s. The Lib Dems will return to prominence because there is an obvious void for them to fill when both the Tories and Labour have tilted towards their more extreme wings.
