Dundee Hibernian
I don't care whether Mark Field is suspended from his position within government or the Tory Party. But he must be charged with, at least, common assault, and possibly sexual assault, given his initial actions. The defence offered by Field and his apologists would be more suited to Spielberg's Minority Report.
Granny Danger
There’s going to be a by-election after a successful recall petition against Chris Davies. This could be interesting. https://news.sky.com/story/convicted-tory-mp-chris-davies-loses-seat-triggering-by-election-11746258
NotThePars
Was incredibly funny to see everyone scrambling to defend his behaviour for 12 hours before he got suspended as a minister.

Hes probably a wrong yin though.
welshbairn
If he wanted to help security out, who were obviously overwhelmed, all he had to do was move his chair back to block her path. An over the top reaction from him and from some of the people who watched the clip. Great bit of publicity for Greenpeace, I'm sure the girl will be delighted and not sobbing alone and bruised in a dark room.

Wonder if drink had been consumed by Field?
ICTJohnboy
Jeremy Hunt has promised there will be a full independent inquiry into this by the Cabinet Office. How can that be independent? Anyway they won't reveal the results of their enquiry until they've decided what the most desirable outcome should be!

Totally agree, if any of us did that in a City Centre bar or restaurant I'm afraid we'd be up in court without a leg to stand on. "Oh but the person looked like they could be armed or aggressive" Yeah, I'll need to remember that one as a case for defence.

If I had been in Field's shoes I would have escorted her out with courtesy and requested her phone number. I would much rather have spent a night with her than Hammond or Cairney.

Tbh, I don't think this lot ask permission. They just plow right in when they feel like it. Nobody will say or do anything.

Cheese
Field didn't go far enough imo. She should have been executed on the spot. Imagine if she'd managed to get milkshake on the chancellor, doesn't bear thinking about.

Field's sexual gratification ship perhaps sailed when he was ladyhandling Janet Barker.
