Celtic v Dundee

Recommended Posts

Love it. Everyone knows fine well, that it was time-wasting but hey...a Celtic fan made the point so let's argue until we're blue in the face that it is now all of a sudden a tactical move.

For players to get ready to take a throw in and drop it down only for another player to trudge over to take the throw-in is now tactical. I'll remember this. No doubt it'll come in handy in future arguments.

Because by leaving it for the keeper, who will take his time to then take it to the opposite side of the goals means they can waste more time if it's required.

But if a silly argument though because a goal-kick is the keepers domain. A throw-in can be taken by countless players.

Only 11 - including the keeper.

Dundee deserved there point, they didn't create many chances in the game, one great chance from a header that should have burst the net,Dundee defended well and got a point, from a celtic point of view it was a bad night,Ronny sums it up with saying FLAT BATTERIES,poor performance from a team that can take these games for granted, for me booing the team is wrong fans need to have a reality check

I very rarely get to the UK due to my demanding filming schedule, however the last time I was over I actually had the pleasure to meet Rod Stewart. For those of you who don't know, he is a die-hard Celtic fan and can often be seen at their big European matches. Last time I saw him on tv was around 2012, I think.

Anyway, I was walking down Glasgow High Street and I noticed the crooner sat on his own right by the window in a greasy spoon. He was stuffing a full Scottish into his mouth like there was no tomorrow, with the poor tattie scones and black puddings being shovelled into his mouth like garbage being poured into a compactor.

Anyway, recognising him, I lightly knocked on the window and gave him a polite thumbs up and a friendly wave. With bacon and lorne sausage hanging from his mouth, he attempted to mouth "Ah, Steve!". After a particularly large gulp of greasy, yet undeniably tasty food that confirmed the indigestion that he would be suffering from later, he continued "I'm a big fan of your work, Steve. You do a lot of good on that television program that you do".

I mouthed "thank you", and with a tip of my bald pate, I bid the "Da You Think I'm Sexy" singer bon voyage, and I continued with my stroll into Glasgow.

A ha..

So for every goal kick Craig Gordon took last night, when a defender was closer to the ball when it left the field of play Celtic were timewasting?

Understandable i suppose given they barely left their own half in the last half hour

Davie, Davie, Davie.....you need to go have a wee lie down, you've had an absolute nightmare the past few days.

I listened on the radio last night and in the last 10 minutes it sounded like Dundee were going for it, 2 good chances missed (1 a sitter) and about 5 corners. Not sure why the timewasting chat.

Dundee deserved a point at the very least, I don't remember the last time we were dominated for an entire half of football at home in the league.

Out of curiosity....can anyone tell me who Dundee's specialist designated throw-in takers are ha-ha!

Kevin Holt and Paul McGinn. Our two full backs - like it is with pretty much every other team in the land.

Few days? Generous.

It would be harsh to say Dundee played well and deserved a point.

The truth is they could and should have had three points......they were fkn miles better than celtic.

Should have scored with the headed chance they had, a point is little reward considering how they played.

Dundee were set up well and were the better team for long periods......they looked like the home team bossing the game.

Dundee were slick on the ball, the movement was good and most importantly there players were wanting the ball....i wish celtic players had shown that desire.

Celtic looked out of ideas......the football has no tempo and is tbh pretty horrendous on the eye.

Sick of watching 1 man up front....sick of the so called tactics.....sick of hearing Delia saying there's progress......

Sick of watching johansen going through the motions and still being a first pick.

We are a mess and any team should fancy there chances of beating us.....am now dreading the Morton game.

Oh dear.

Two separate threads you are playing the victim card.
