Stranraer v Cowdenbeath

Recommended Posts

Deserved victory but at 1-0 a very nervy finish , Cowdenbeath worked hard and stopped us from playing but little creativity from them , their keeper pulling off several good saves to keep the score close.

Could and should have been a more convincing win if we had taken our chances, a massive well done to all at Stranraer FC for reaching the play offs for the third consecutive season and amazing achievement for such a small club.

Well done Stranraer, you were terrible when I saw you at the start of the season. What a turn around. Good luck in the playoffs, you have nothing to fear. Hope you go up.

When you were relying on the most unreliable shambolic mess that is Cowdenbeath FC then I'm afraid you were destined for disappointment. Sorry.

Team did what was asked of them today, could of easily let nerves get the better of them.

Thought everyone put a shift in but, probably not our most vintage performance.

Wasted a quite a lot in the final third but not really caring about that. Fingers crossed the players have enough left in the tank to give Livingston a good game.

Hard to pick a man of the match today. Sponsors went with Gibson, I'd say Malcolm and Bell would of ran him very close.

Thanks, hope you win playoffs. No lack of effort from your team today, all were nackered at the final whistle. Both teams very nervy ,all afraid to make mistakes.

Cowden's greatest moment was avoiding relegation via the play-offs so they should embrace the opportunity to add another golden moment to their proud history.

It was great for the part-time pub team to thrash the mighty full-time Pars.

No matter how often you come out with your snyde remarks, nothing is going to change that.

Surprised you are still hurting about it.You must be the only Dunfermline fan who can't get over it.

The rich kid can laugh at a poor boys belongings, but that doesn't mean he is happier.

It wasn't really.

Would have thought a part one outfit winning the league 1 with a fraction of the finances of the current winners is pretty decent, considering all the wanking they have done about the achievement and how incredible all their players are.

Fucking useless spineless little b*****ds. Went and stuck with the cheap option in a failed youth coach in that useless clueless c**t in Nish and now we are in the playoffs. Cant wait till our surrender in the play offs. f**k em all

Donald will have something to say about that.

For a team playing for their League 1 lives thought Cowdenbeath were very poor, they only started to come out of their shell after our goal, but can't remember our keeper having a save to make.As for Stranraer should have been 3 or 4 at least, final ball a wee bit poor but although nervy always thought we would see it out.As usual Paul Cairney ran the show in midfield and all the defence looked strong, captain Steven Bell got motm which was fair enough.

Yes OK. Just like Stenhousemuir last week Stranraer were fantastic this week.

Stranraer are a decent striker short of mounting a serious title challenge. Your midfield and defence dominated what they were faced with but unlike the top 3 you aren't clinical in the final third. Near the end yesterday was a 3 on 1 where all he had to do was get it to one of the two unmarked players in the middle but he fluffed it.

Was the same story earlier in the season when you fluffed numerous great chances in the first half and ended up losing. Sort out your attack and that will be a quality side in this league.
