cfcuk
If Ferguson has offered his resignation - why has anybody tried to stop him? He inherited a squad that made the play-offs, without having any players who were other than average - but who gave their all, and played as a team. 80 players later, we are nowhere near the play-offs, with a group of players who are (on paper) much better than the ones Duffy left. Therin lies the big difference, Duffy got the best out of what he had. Ferguson signs players who subsequently perform much worse than they have done previously, in several cases at a higher level. The indisputable fact is that Ferguson has failed as a manager, and if we are able to get him out the door without any question of us having to pay him compensation - we should accept his resignation immediately. As for who takes over next - I'm sure there will be plenty of applicants, and at least 1 of them must be better than what we've had for the last 3 seasons. Just as long as it's not somebody else who gets the job just because they're an ex-Old Firm player. Three reasons The board think he is going to turn it round and think he is right man for the job They are looking for compensation if he goes to another team ( sure it was mentioned that he can go with no compensation) The finances are linked with BF being manager and they are petrified that we end up in another financial meltdown Perm any 3 from 3

Quite right to give some thinking time, in any job.

Bully Wee Villa
Martin Lauchlan seems to be doing a good job at EK. Would he be an option?

haufdaft
I'm sorry it didn't work out for Ferguson. You can't fault the effort he put in. Unfortunately, he didn't have the managerial talent.I still wish him luck in the future as I did most Clyde managers that left (except John Clark and John Brown)

haufdaft
There is no way he'll leave a club with bags of money and ambition to go to Clyde. Is he a really good manager or is the success due to bags of money?

ScottR96
The correct decision. As above, he really did try his best but he's just not good enough. Glad it's been confirmed before this proposed 'Day of Action' on Saturday, as that would have made for a toxic atmosphere which benefits no-one. Interesting times ahead, no doubt.
