And aye, its a risky manouvere, but with Arsenal sniffing around Ryan Fraser at £30 million - I'd be happier seeing Turnbull going to Bournemouth on loan ( and with a decent loan fee ) for a year than doing this deal. If he's anything like the thing we think he is, his transfer value next summer will be astronomical compared to the £3 mill on offer today.

Can you give us an example of this actually happening? i.e. a smaller team lending to a bigger team and then selling the player later when his/her valuation had increased?

Cristiano Ronaldo is still technically a Sporting Lisbon player.  He's just went through a series of loan deals throughout his career.

No wonder the Portuguese national team are doing so well.  They are awash with money in that country.

Sincere apologies to @Well Well, clearly Well View is the deranged taxi driving Newcastle loan specialist.

I am truly sorry for any offence caused.

No problems mate, thanks...sorry about my rants earlier as well. have calmed down a lot. Frothing at the mouth immediately after this was breaking was silly.

To this day, we have players in our first team on taxi driver money, in fact I know taxi drivers that wouldn't get out of their bed for £400 a week.

So apparently Oxford are interested in Cadden (according to The Scottish Sun) but may be put off by the compensation fee.

Oxford were supposed to have had a bid for him kb'd on deadline day a couple of seasons ago at around £400k (via BBC). I don't know if their circumstances have changed any in terms of ownership (obviously Appleton's no longer there) but you'd think we'd probably be open to being flexible with them on the basis of getting a sell on in there...it worked out alright with Marv.

Also....Div reported to have kb'd Celtic (according to The Record). Oh my.
