Celtic haven't had any treble in recent years as many thought might happen and a league and cup double is hard to come by because Celtic are usually pish in the cups. So to me personally winning any of the cups is an achievement of sorts. Rangers fans don't really think it's hollow either, that was just Bennett and ThePundit trying act not bothered about getting pumped 3-2 from the Hibees. They certainly didn't celebrate their challenge cup win like it was hollow.

Even The_Drunk is trying to play down tomorrows game as just another game? He'll probably detach his catheter he tops his toilet duck up with at some point during the game.

Lets debate a particular season. Name one where we won a cup and lost the league but considered it a successful season?
bennett
Back in 07/08 losing the league but winning the two cups did seem like a let down to me, I can see where pundy is coming from here. On the other hand this season is a bit different as we're definitely underdogs for the title. A league title would mean more than the cups tho...

The expectation isn't the league championship at this point. Next season? or the season after that? We've got to be challenging for the league.

You are changing your tune now, no one said a cup win was better than winning the league. What you said was a cup win without the league would be hollow. Absolute nonsense.

It's hard to say because there's so many uncertainties ... Retail deals/various court cases going on/coming up etc.if we can get shit sorted oot off the park then we should be back challenging again sooner. I reckon most fans will accept this season as a settling in one if they see signs that we're heading in the right direction.

I can promise you though that I am indeed a Rangers fan!
