A constant state of mirth. At least you admit your old club is dead!

Your new club was allowed to join the old SFL without the necessary 4 years accounts. It shouldn't be anywhere near the top tier. And now, after getting Deidco's assets on the cheap, it's still in a financial cesspit.

If you are so upset by the death of your old club, you can always support another with honesty and integrity. Unless, of course, sectarianism and bigotry are important to you.

Celtic on the brink of an unbeaten season yet it's still all about the rangers . God help them when we actually become some form of decent again.

That's when we'll ignore you again.

It's weird how you get excited by your club getting attention that you simultaneously bemoan.

5 active threads about us, mind: The BRALT, this yin, the cup thread, the new manager thread and the MW resigns thread.

The diddies do love a good Sevco discussion.

Wankerish to quote my own post but the 1/4 final draw thread is full of mirth and should be added as a 6th active Sevco thread.  Imagine us getting a home draw?

Edited to add...make it 7.  I forgot the "Do you want us to die" farrago.

Your post wasn't much different from the anyone but celtic film.

Let that sink in.

I've not seen the film, but from what I recall of the trailer, is it not about refs and stuff?

My issue is to do with deliberately deceitful registration of players over many years.  Is that tackled in the film?

There was no deceitful registration of players , there was payments made in the form of bonuses to certain players which turned out to be tax avoidance , please give us an example of us not properly registering a player ?

Monkey loves a good Lord Nimmo Smith debate.  He's not happy with the outcome.

Do we really want to get him started on how William Nimmo Smith got it all wrong?

Ok, erm...  Billy Dodds.  No, Nacho Novo.

Basically, it concerns every single EBT recipient who was also a player - in other words, nearly everyone on that famous list.

In registering players, there was a requirement that all payments to them, be they contractual or otherwise be disclosed.  Rangers did not do this.

The players were therefore improperly registered.  A controversial judgement was however made that this did not render the registrations invalid.

No, I'm not happy with it.

I get much less animated over old club/new club, than I do title stripping.

What happened to Rangers a few years back was absolutely brilliant, but for the decision which didn't strike those titles void.  I genuinely find it baffling that fans would wish to keep titles 'won' in such circumstances.

It's not like there were precedents or anything.

Quote

Spartans have been thrown out of the Scottish Cup for fielding an ineligible player in their 2-0 win over Culter.

Striker Keith McLeod signed a new contract in the summer but it was dated only once and the Scottish Football Association want it to be signed twice.

I don't mind if bears say I'm angry about this, I am.  It is a fucking disgrace and as has been said countless times, it has left a black, indelible stain on our game.

For some, cheating is fine.

Yes, historically, registration errors have been treated very seriously and that's when they've been isolated, minor and genuine errors.

The judgement here deemed the Rangers players not ineligible, but that related to retrospective judgement not being allowed.

Morally, there really is no debate at all.

I'd question very, very hard the notion that either the SPL or the SFA put an ounce of effort into arguing their case. All punishments are retrospective in this situation. Maybe one day we'll get a swatch of the 5 way agreement, which allegedly completely tied their hands in the matter.

As it stands the governing bodies official positions are: A single typo or accidental omission for a single player is a greater offence and merits greater sanction than deliberately withholding information in full knowledge this was against the rules for entire squads for over a decade*.

*or if what the SPL's lawyer said in the recent Coral case was correct, since 1989.
