NotThePars
The constant "well the EU gives money to the royals" stuff would be more appropriate if the Brexit camp weren't all hardcore monarchists who would happily squander more of the national budget to build the Queen a massive yacht.

To be fair Corbyn isn't a hardcore monarchist. But he is an arsehole Edited February 10, 2017 by topcat(The most tip top)

I quite agree, but if tax-payers money is being handed tae multi-millionaires, it disnae matter which camp is providing it. It's still f**king wrong.

Of course it is but on balance I think I'd still prefer to have had the benefits the EU provides over what Brexit's offering despite whether or not the monarchy also benefits from it. I mean of course the preferred course of action would be to guillotine the Windsors but there's fat chance of that happening. At least until Charlie's in charge.

You can guarantee the Windsors will find a way to benefit financially no matter what political situation prevails. They are masters at hoarding and receiving wealth, and have managed to pull off one of the greatest confidence tricks in history by convincing many that they have been specially selected by God for their position, and the country needs them to retain it.

I'd imagine that it won't just be the usual parties fighting for votes. Plus, you'd have more chance of a better Labour party away from the shackles of the puppet masters.
