RedRob72
Looks like they're struggling, maybe there's not as many rabid hard brexiteers as they thought. Either that or some of them think they should wait until after the *Withdrawal bill vote as if they fail this time they won't be able to pull the same trick again for a year. *Hope they call it the Haymarket Bill.*In reference to the Theatre Royal? Bravo sir!

What an absolute cluster f**k. I doubt they will be too bothered about that. Not many software developers are based in Burnley. The problem with immigration is an inelastic supply of unskilled labour distorts the labour market massively which undermines working class communities. There is also the obvious question about why the fairly dormant UK economy is producing more skilled jobs than our large pool of graduates can fill but again that's not really a concern the P&B fantasy Burnely Brexit Bloke.

May is basically saying "Less Poles, more Pakis" though. Bewildered about which constituencies she's trying to impress.

LongTimeLurker
Don't think they can block the deal if it gets through Westminster as it only needs majority approval in EU terms, but what they can get awkward on is an extension of Article 50 beyond March 29 as that needs all 27 to approve. What an absolute cluster f**k. There's more than a grain of truth in that. As a Burnley resident I can confirm that there is a school of thought here convinced that something has to be done as the "fucking P*kis" get everything handed to them on a plate. "Look at the cars they drive, look at the houses they are now living in. Our government's given them all this. Thank god we voted to come out - now all this shit can be sorted out" I hear this almost every fucking day There is a very good reason why there are a lot of well to do Asians in this area - I say, well done, and good luck to them. If you call a taxi at 4.00am to get you to Manchester Airport you can be guaranteed it will not be a white man behind the wheel. Someone said on a previous post a couple of days ago it was just England that voted to leave (who cares what the Welsh voted for - they've always been virtually inseparable) so this is what we are going to get.
DA Baracus
A quick glance at the tabloids' front pages most days shows a headline about 'Taking back our borders' or similar bullshit racist wording. Your average leave voter only really cares about immigration, and by immigration they mean stopping as many non white non English folk as possible from living in England. They don't give a f**k about trade or any of that complicated stuff. As long as they can stop non white non English folk living their life in England, they'll vote for anything.

Fluffy and Ruth have so far backed down and shat it, what will be interesting is if the transition period moves from late 2020 to 2022. The fishermen will be livid, surely fluffy and Ruth must object other wise they will lose a huge chunk of Scottish Torys

welshbairn
My bet of the week. If May survives and gets her Bill passed, Boris will join up with Farage to start a new Brexit means Brexit party, maybe incorporating the remains of Ukip.
