My current provider just point blank refused. I'll be going anyway, just uninsured. Have you tried Liverpool Victoria? They offer much cheaper rates for those pre-existing conditions, e.g. cancers, than their competitors. The premiums for two family members, one with a life threatening illness, were surprisingly cheap. Worth a try.

Now that safety net is no longer there. A week in Spain becomes the same as week in the USA....you'll have to cough up for individual insurance. welshbairn
Well done chaps, prompt payments as expected. If the Walloons or Maltese, or Westminster block the treaty, I'll naturally contribute to the charities of your choice. @ICTJohnboy @MixuFruit @NotThePars
John Lambies Doos
Sky News starting to scrutinise the deal. EU commission have released their docs and basically shows an EU win. UK economy to shrink by 4% as opposed to 6% if No deal... So still a lot worse off than staying in EU.EU docs are quite stark in terms of UK losses, obviously to prevent others leaving.

We paid out 1/2 billion pounds for UK pensioners loving abroad through reciprocal healthcare. These people would need to find private healthcare or pay for their own treatment if there is no agreement on ehic.

Whatever your personal view, there's a sense of vindication in the camp of those who campaigned to leave the EU - they got a free trade deal with zero quotas and zero tariffs (although there may be some before you scream) but the UK will not be under European law."

Baxter Parp
You should send that to the media, BP. There's been absolutely nothing on TV or social media about trucks being lined up on the runway at Manston.f**k off, Bendan.

Not under EU law but if we break any EU laws to the detriment of the EU project they can slap us with huge tarriffs. Which is probably more power than the actual European courts had. Plenty of EU countries have outright ignored court rulings with zero consequences. Remember when the EU ruled prisoners should have the vote? A decade of dragging their feet the UK let the smallest possible amount of prisoners vote and told the court to gtf.
git-intae-thum
Hugely increased travel insurance costs and the resultant restriction on foreign tracel will be born most by the age demographic that most consistently voted for this crock of shite. It is actually quite funny in a way. Even better when the moron brexiteer element suddenly realise that the police adult warning they got for possessing a bit of blow 5 years ago means no ETIAs waiver for them and a very expensive full visa application with every chance of rejection. No more trips to Salou for them and henceforth they are stuck on this island. Quite glorious. -

Are you sure about that? How do you define the "EU Project". It's irrelevant to the deal anyway. The European Court of Justice will have no role. Trade and any imposition of tariffs will be subject to international law, not EU law.

Comprehensive travel insurance has been remarkably cheap and very few people use the EHIC. I've got several family members with very serious medical conditions. They have been able to get cheap cover easily. In recent months, TUI have been offering very cheap Covid cover to the most vulnerable customers.

The schadenfreude of the Remainers' seethe is absolutely glorious. I look forward to the SNP voting against the trade deal next week.
