Even found them discussing the cars to be interesting which I struggled with last time. Te last two could definitely be filed under “contractually obligated”.
The Minertaur
Fair enjoyed the Scandi episode to be honest. One of the better ones they've done.

Savage Henry
New one in Central Europe is by the numbers: pretty much rehashing old episode tasks. A couple of chuckles, but the lack of story makes it all seem half-hearted.
Silvio Tattiescone
I quite enjoyed that, the scenery was spectacular. I'd like to recreate that road trip, before that part of the world becomes radioactive.
Musketeer Gripweed
All I can say is, thank f**k I just walked past that waxworks in Krakow the other month. Absolutely horrendous.
PB1994
I did enjoy it but I do feel that they are coming to the end of the road with this. I don’t really see what else they can do. I know that it is a car show where three blokes go on a road trip so they are going to feel very similar to older shows but as mentioned it was very much doing stuff they have already done before. Might be a good time to end it if Clarkson doesn’t get his contract renewed in a few years.

Savage Henry
If the last couple felt like contractual obligations, this one felt like blowing the budget.
PB1994
It always an easy enough watch but glad there is only one more going to be made. It really has run its course now. Everything is just being repeated over and over again.

And they know it. Edited February 17 by Savage Henry

You could probably get away with it if they were still doing the weekly episodes with car reviews etc as it wouldn’t be as noticeable but then they wouldn’t make as much cash out of it.
Silvio Tattiescone
I was watching old Top Gear episodes from 2004 last week and the difference is night and day. In TG there were so many examples of the genuine chemisty the 3 had and they looked like they were enjoying themselves immensely. This GT was just 3 tired old men going through the motions and they didn't look like they were enjoying themselves particularly. I was also a bit uncomfortable about them taking 3 cars, each costing more than the average man earns in a year and utterly trashing them. To see them prancing around one of the poorest countries in the world, each dripping in luxury jewellery doesn't sit right with me (Clarkson's IWC Top Gun watch costs over £8k, average wage in Mauritania is £30 a week). There was absolutely no spontaneity and the whole thing was contrived beyond belief. Minefields - really? I'm a big fan of the three of them but this was nonsense on sticks.

The other shows they do - Clarkson's Farm and James May's travel shows - are far better.
