Indeed. It's unforgivable to not be aware of laws especially on a lions tour. These are full time pros not under 13s. It's a small example of how slipshod this tour has been.

It has always happened. Andy Nicol became a Lion by going on holiday at an opportune time. I think players realise the situation and know they can get a shirt if they grab the chance.

True but the coach didn't come out n tell press he was only there to carry the cones. He was properly integrated into the lions squad.

There's a difference there. They literally had no scrumhalves left for the Third Test, and he sat on the bench with them having no intention of putting him on unless there was an injury. These guys are getting called up before the first Test - at that point it should be the next best, not the next nearest.

Barnes clutching at straws saying rain would suit the Lions next week - if they can't score any tries, they're fucked regardless of the weather.

It's thoroughly turgid stuff. Trying to kick the Maori into submission....might work against a scratch team but not nz. Ooh this could be a red for the Maori lad. Naughty one

I think it's probably right - he shouldn't be punished for the fact Halfpenny was falling, it was a yellow card offence for a no arms hit.

Swinson got a red for very similar end of last season. Reckon on balance ref is about right here but right on border of red n yellow

Yep and it was harsh too.

Red zone decision making is utterly horrendous. Dominant scrum heading for the line, getting a penalty, and Murray picks up?

Should be comfortable for lions from here. Maori don't look like they have had enough time together. Lions are playing conditions better now

Highlanders game should have been done after Seymour's try too.

Any team with the Ioanes, Milner-Skudder and MacKenzie is never out of a game.
