Great pick up from a hooker but why is there an overlap from a penalty?
Lions started OK but NZ just moving up the gears now and they can't cope. This score could be big if AB want to.

Lions needed to score that early chance.

Not entirely sure of that. That nz pack is way more robust than anything the lions have faced so far and their handling skills hold up under pressure better than northern hemisphere players. It should stop the game being expansive tho which might help the lions. Bad weather may well bring the ref into play and how he interprets breakdown will be a big factor. In the pro12 final owens stopped munster from going off their feet at rucks and standing offside which killed their back row allowing scarlets to run riot. Suspect ref will be a big part of the final score on sat

Peyper refereeing means they will not het the decisions.

Although as a member of the front row union I'm duty bound to say we have as good hands as anyone these days and we should really stop being amazed by it.

Argument that forwards in close play offload situations need better hands than crash ball centres but I'll leave that one for another day.

That's a shocker of a decision at that ruck. First AB went hurtling off his feet, Peyper put the whistle to his mouth then ignored it, before penalising the Lions.

*cough cough*

Should you expect anything else?

Peyper is one of the worst "homer" refs going.
