I've heard people suggest that Stam is a very astute tactician and spends a lot of time on defensive shape in training, so that could be the explanation; based on that shot model, they 'should' have conceded ~78 goals, but actually only conceded 68. Fair enough they're two divisions lower now and that does put off some of the casual gloryhunters and they've got the issues with the owners of course but that's still a huge drop off.
