S7C
I stayed at the Point A hotel recently on Bath Street for £30 a night, but I booked well in advance.
Le Tout P'ti FC
I've used the Acorn on Elderslie St a few times for Hydro and King Tuts. Just past Charing Cross. Pretty decent.
ICTChris
Why don't you want to stay in Travel Lodge or PremierInn?
ICTJohnboy
Not actually stayed here, but heard good things about this place : http://babbitybowster.com/ Stayed in Premier Inns the length and breadth of the UK many times and they usually excellent, although city centre ones can be expensive. Highland Capital
Stayed in the Eurohostel for a night once. Pretty basic, but fine for me and was only about £30.

Jason King
So long as you are not claustrophobic and don't want free Wifi then the Easy Hotel on Hill Street is around £30 a night but is very basic.

Set the room to a nice soothing blue Don't know whether they were malfunctioning or I had buggered it up through " tiredness " but one of the times we stayed there the bathroom/shower was like a disco all night.
