Looking through the Uefa disciplinary website it quickly becomes apparent that teams from the smaller nations are getting screwed right over and having the book thrown at them, whilst the clubs from the bigger nations appear to be getting away almost with murder in some cases.

They have set a precedent with the recent punishment of Lyon which included the following,

Charges against Olympique Lyonnais:
- Setting of fireworks – Art. 16 (2) of the UEFA Disciplinary Regulations (DR)
- Throwing of objects – Art. 16 (2) DR
- Field invasion by supporters – Art. 16 (2) DR
- Stairways blocked – Art. 16 (2) DR

Decision: The CEDB has decided to exclude Olympique Lyonnais from participating in the next UEFA club competition for which it will qualify. This exclusion is deferred for a probationary period of two (2) years. The French club has also been fined €100,000.

As for Celtic, their charge was,

Disciplinary proceedings have been opened following the UEFA Champions League group stage match betweenCeltic FC and Paris Saint-Germain (0-5), played on 12 September in Scotland.

Charges against Celtic FC:

• Field invasion – Art. 16 (2) of the UEFA Disciplinary Regulations (DR)

So, one would assume that Celtic cannot possibly receive anything worse than a suspended sentence, as per Lyon.

Of course, the fact that Lyon come from a BIG nation and Celtic come from a WEE nation then we can safely assume that they will get screwed right over as per the usual MO of UEFA / FIFA..........................

Ronny deila laid the foundations and Brendan Rodgers has took it to a new level. I couldn't careless how much this PSG team costs it's 11 v 11.

Where's Willy? Would be good to get his analysis of the game.

Shamelessly stolen from BBC website but funny as f**k:

Celtic have now failed to keep a clean sheet in each of their past 20 Champions League games, conceding 48 goals along the way.
The Scottish side have not won a group-stage match in the competition since October 2013.

We've only played 7 group stage games since Oct 13 against Ajax, AC Milan, Barcelona (x3), Monchengladbach (x2) and Man City (x2). 3 draws out of those 7. Not exactly hilarious tbh. I think we achieve along the lines expected, our main issue recently has been going out in the playoff round against teams we have a reasonable chance to beat.

PSG's first half performance was the best i have seen in a long time, the number 6 and 25 are on a par with xavi and iniesta if not better plus add that to the 3 up top they are a formidable team it wouldn't surprise to me if they went on to win this champions league,if bayern are as good as that then we are in trouble also anderlecht got to the quarter finals of the europa cup last year so Celtic have got to get better to compete at this level.

Expecting Celtic to "get better" is much like expecting Kilmarnock to "get better" in the context of the Scottish League and budget gaps between the teams.

All we're seeing in the Champions league is the gulf in class between the teams similar to the gulf in class between teams in some of the domestic leagues and it's all driven by money.

An SPL side who are purchasing players from Scottish League 1 and English Conference level can't be expected to compete on a serious level playing field with a Club who purchase players from the Top European sides and cherry pick the best players from their own domestic league. By the same token, the likes of Celtic can't be expected to compete with clubs shelling out £200 to £300 million on top International players in an individual transfer window.

It's all relative.............

Oh the world famous No6 and No25 are "on a par with xavi and iniesta if not better".

I think both of them play for us... I'm sure we have a 6 and a 25.

Your heids gone ... PSG won't win it, they aren't as good as Barca, Real, Chelsea and maybe others..

They walk their poor quality league by using their financial advantage .... ring any bells ??

Has neymar become a better player over night because he cost £200 million?Scott Sinclair cost man city £7 million celtic only paid £3.5 million does this mean we have half the player man city had? Craig Gordon cost £9 million to Sunderland we got him for nothing is he still a £9 million pound goalkeeper?
It takes more than just money to make a team play like PSG did last night
