Sergeant Wilson
Second thoughts. I see the logic, it's geographicaly nearer the player pool, but it's still a bit tcheuctery.

Horrendous idea. Surely the way to sustain and grow a football club - any club - is to connect with the local community?? It's the 'soul' that gives folk a bit of pride in their club and helps bring in the next generation of fans.

PB1994
What players is this actually going to help attract. If they are choosing offers from say Raith etc over us due to location, are they not still going to chose that offer so they don’t have to travel up here for home games.
Moysterclass
Feel bad for yous. Don't know how many of you have been to Kelty but it's absolutely crap. "Tiny ex-mining village in the middle of Fife" surely can't be a better draw than Inverness. Didn't think many owners could be worse than Colin McGowan. Gardiner seems to have managed it.

I suppose a 6 hour round trip (ish) for 18 home games is better than having to uproot the wife, kids but a reasonable person would say oh well and move on. Our board and idiot CEO? Clearly not

If not then could be a source of income to smuggle transport conservatories from Fife to the Highlands every couple of weeks West Fife is a sun trap. Always room for another conservatory.

Stephen Malkmus
Here's what the strategy should be for our first team squad this year: - Priority given to players with potential coming up through our youth squads. - A few loanees / frees from the English lower leagues, using our airport connection as a draw - A couple of quality Highland League players - Convincing a couple of central belt based players to come up on the basis that the Highlands are actually a pretty nice place to live Not "..err, let's move the club to Fife". It's also going to mean that the likes of Billy Mckay, who is settled in Inverness and has expressed a desire to stay next season, will quite rightly tell them to get fucked rather than having to travel to Kelty several times a week. Mackie The Staggie
The logic makes some sense (in a matter of fact way). It's always been the case that Caley/County had to over spend to the get the same quality of players that central belt teams could attract for a fraction of the wages. However, the past couple of season, the board have done everything in their power to piss of the local community. This move is another slap in the face to the remaining fans who've had their patience tested, who will now have to watch mercenary style players being bussed in to play every second sat in an area they have no connection to/with. There's not a good way back from this.
Grumpy Soo-sider
"Delighted to announce" Seriously, are they really? I feel so sorry for you guys - trying to build better links with the City (and trying to restore broken ties) and the club smacks you in the face with this! Dear oh dear.
Wacky
10 minutes ago, SandyCromarty said: Another reason to withhold Season Tickets renewals. Yeah! Withholding money from the cash strapped club you support will help eh? Your club is trying something a bit different to try and attract players who can help them climb the leagues, what about backing your team to see if it works out for the greater good? It may not be forever, but withholding money from your club definitely won’t help. -
Pens_Dark
The actual premise isn't a terrible idea, you make the players daily work more attractive by being closer to his work. What it actually does, though, is make the players less accountable for the people and city in which the club is situated. ICT fans will feel a new level of disconnect with their club and rightly so. The wound is barely open and the powers that be are already pouring the salt in.
