If Morrison is quitting who is paying the bills?

That's not a problem. We've only got one at the moment and as long as we don't sign any more I think we'll manage

Gardiner has gone.  He’s no longer an ICT executive.  The timeline is a bit off - these decisions were made last week and despite reports otherwise Morrison was not planning to quit.   Effectively they both quit at the same time.

I believe changes at boardroom level means the publishing of accounts can (must be?) delayed.   Might be wrong on that though.

Essentially Morrison and Gardiner bet the house on Kelty and lost.  They realised there was no way back.   My way or the highway, as it were.  I don’t know anything about Morrison, but you are much much better off without Gardiner.

There’s currently nobody in post apparently capable of communicating between the club and the fans.

No change then. Not been effective communication between the club and fans for years.

The Gardiner effect.

The ICT Concert Company
The battery farm
The Red John Park and Ride scheme

Erm...

Has Morrison actually left the club, or just resigned as chairman? They’re obviously two different things.

If we now get the news that officially the Kelty move is off and Gardiner is down the road then the club now needs to issue the ST 24/25 early bird deal asap where fans will get back to supporting the club.

Any news on Ferguson?

Basically can't afford to sack him and he's still manager.

Yeah there’s a narrative here from fans of other clubs that were trying to compete with the old duffer up the road. It’s not that at all, it’s morons at the club making stupid decisions that have starved the club of valuable income from local businesses via various sponsorship streams.

No, it's actually the core revenue of your club being consistently beneath the delusions of grandeur budget set, to establish Inverness as a fixture in the top flight. It was not sustainable - it was never sustainable - and looking for 'sponsorship streams' from local businesses to prop it up indefinitely is just a soft loan by another name.

Which is why your club was already losing money hand over fist before Gardiner and the gang were appointed to their roles.

There would be about 11 football clubs in existence if none of them relied on sponsorship as a means of significant income.

With regards to the manager situation, if Ferguson had an ounce of dignity, he would've walked the day after the play off final and then we could've gone and taken Imrie off Morton, but he clearly doesn't.

Is it correct he is on 5k a week?

Not sure on the figure, but in the podcast interview RM did state that Dunc has taken a cut aligned with our drop to League One. Whether thats a tenner or four grand its not clear what was agreed.

Personally I consider while Dunc may be found wanting, there are huge questions over Bollan also - either he is inept and hasnt learned anything from years at this level regarding tactics and recruitment or too scared to speak out against Duncball. Either way he needs punted too.

Perhaps, but at the end we have had a great journey with the 'glory' days of cup finals and Europe - not a bad run for 30 years and a lot more than some teams have ever enjoyed over that period or longer. If we need a reset so be it - some of the fans are pragmatic enough to understand that. Getting the community involved to sponsor isnt quite the same as they get some return for investment through advertising profiles (doesnt everyone know of the wee chewy sweets now across Scotland) - bit different to 'soft loans' or lunatics essentially pissing cash away for nothing other than loyalty.

Credit where it's due though, he accelerated the process exponentially.

If Gardiner has gone Ferguson will be isolated with I would imagine very little support from the board given his track record.

Plus I've no doubt that he would have blamed his managerial ineptitude was mostly due to what he imagined was his inability to recruit players from the CB and he would have been strongly behind the Kelty move.

As mentioned earlier we had a long spell in the Premier, Scottish Cup and a wee spell in Europe, this was all achieved with Inverness based players.

So for me it would be better for the club if Ferguson considered his position and did the right thing and leave.

A club that relies on multiple local businesses to 'sponsor' (subsidise) its fundamental business model in perpetuity is not sustainable. There's a difference between offering sponsorship at a market rate, and relying on local businessmen to chip in to do their bit for your project.

And now the flaws in that 'model' have been exposed.

And some of you clearly have further to travel between delusion to reality.

Are you saying The Caley couldn't just waltz in and take the *checks notes* Greenock Morton manager?  Fuck me, we truly are through the looking glass here, lads.
