Sensational nickname and tache. If he’s for the first team then I look forward to watching him play in two months when the permit is cleared. Our planning for the start of this season has been shambolic.

Mind you with the way we’re being run.  This lad will end up disappointed he’s in Scotland and not playing for Hibs in Malta.

"I came to play European football" - "you are buddy, we play in Scotland, in Europe"

He seems to have a decent pedigree, played in the top flight in Uruguay the last 2 years and has played in the Copa Libertadores as well.

With us having Marshall, Hanlon, Stevenson, Cabraja and Cadden our defence has some decent experience so I’d not be against this being our cb signing. It’s midfield forward where we’re still lacking a bit of experience imo.

Never gonna bite us on the arse:

"I'm friends with Steven Fletcher and he'd have walked to Hibs" McManus told PLZ Soccer.

"He wanted to go to Hibs and they weren't interested.

"They have Doidge and they've signed a couple of younger players.

"For me Fletcher is a better player and will score more goals that Doidge.

"Steven has went to Dundee United and I think they will be good this year.

Sake. The minute Fletcher left I thought he’d be a shoe-in for a return later in his career. Reckon he still could have done a job. I’m happy to eat my words later in the season, but I reckon we’ll rue this one

Fletcher will be shite.

Usual Scottish punditry, talking up their pals.

Edit: Don't see who those comments aid either.

I'm not having that topknot / beard combo.

Things aren't great at Hibs but nowhere near as bad as the bedwetters make out.

Unpopular facts:

Bushiri is statistically our best defender so far.

Kensall is doing a superb job commercially and is wiping the floor on that score with anything Saint Dempster achieved.

RG is spending millions of his own money, not going for cheap options. Marshall and McGeady weren't on pennies last season either.

But I think the one thing for the conspiracy theorists to actually watch out for, is that I genuinely think it's Ron's plan to make Hibs attractive to Edinburgh's elite and to price the working class out of watching us as far as he can.

I think he's sick of the relentless negativity, the shitty attendances and he knows they're not going to provide the money long term anyway, because they haven't got any.

He's wanting to take Hibs to the prawn sandwich brigade and he's dropped a few clues now that he's going to change the mindset of the club/fanbase even if the results don't change it for him.

So he's going to increase the "shitty attendances" by pricing the working class out?

Sounds like a plan. 🙃

Thats not what he said.

There are countries where clubs survive on relatively small attendances by virtue of having much higher commercial and sponsorship income. e.g. Norway, small teams with fairly poor crowds get by no problem - even with very cheap tickets (I paid £10 for a ticket to a match there).

Many Scottish teams rely on gate income for a higher %age of their income - which is why you have the riduculous pricing for Cat A matches (e.g. the derby next week costs £35 for a walkup ticket in the middle of the East).

Yo just need to look at the changes in pricing for our matchday hospitality to see what @Tommy Tappin is getting at.

I hope that makes it clearer, simpleton.

Thanks for clearing things up. You're a pretentious w****r, it was pretty clear before but much clearer now.

More power to Ron, he's doing a fine job. 🙂
