Ardenvohr6
Now that there's no football to talk about, we can fully focus on this thread to keep us going [emoji23]We now have Summer Pie n Bovril in Spring. Can you imagine what a long winter it’ll be if we move to summer football? 6 hours of daylight and close season PnB is a horrific prospect.

morley
I thought they were letting football keep going in order to sacrifice football fans in order to build up the herd immunity to the virus in the population.

They are all members of the SFA, and subject to its Articles of Association. Article 5.1(a(vii)) says "All members shall be subject to and shall comply with any statutes, regulations, directives, codes, decisions promulgated by the Board, the Professional Game Board, the Non-Professional Game Board, the Judicial Panel, a Committee or sub-committee, FIFA, UEFA or the Court of Arbitration for Sport."
Marten
If this decision has been taken for all football, it just might be the case that the SFA, SPFL, HL, LL, EOS, SOS, SJFA, SAFA, SYWA & Welfare FA have all been involved in the communication...

You're all over the place. It's not a war between two sides where I'm some sort of fence jumper for having an opinion which is more nuanced than side 1 = the root of all evil and side 2 = the perfect way to run football. Another post racked up from you with zero insight, detail or view on football - why change the habit of a lifetime! Haven't seen any smoke signals on the horizon so don't think the Welfare FA have had a say.

It seems like this was indeed the case, as pretty much all other parties have shortly after the SFA's announcement made their own announcements on Twitter that all games have been postponed.

If that's too be called "The Junior Cup", doesn't require club's to join the SJFA and it is to be run like the South Cup, for me that would work. If it involves club's joining the SJFA to play in it, that's going to be a non starter for a lot of people I think. 1 hour ago, Gordon EF said: Exactly. We can't have pops at certain junior folk for intransigence and then not be prepared to compromise on something that's important to a lot of people in the junior game that would make no material difference to the pyramid leagues. I think most people would like to see a single non-league trophy and tbh I don't really mind if the Junior Cup becomes that competition. However, as it stands the Junior Cup is only open to SJFA members and the format (replays, semis, gate and travel money) may not be to the liking of senior clubs. So people can talk about compromise but really the ball is in the SJFA's court if they want the Junior Cup to involve senior clubs.
Shannon
Some clubs may be considering whether they will be able to have their EGM with supporters due to Coronavirus outbreak with meetings cancelled and lot of vulnerable supporters over 60 etc. Would the application deadline be extended to end of April / May?

On the EOS site it has the following in regards to applying for the EOS so same will likely apply in regards to WOSL:Deadline date for applications is 31 March 2020 and ONLY IN VERY EXCEPTIONAL CIRCUMSTANCES WILL THIS BE EXTENDED.
