We decided against it. This is a new beginning for us and while that means we won't be eligible to enter the Scottish Junior Cup, we're comfortable with our decision. Any more announcements?

Maybe people would have been happier if,say, just the top 2 every season went up a level to the seniors - would it be possible for those amateur leagues below to become the new juniors Inthe future ? I don't know. Be nice if clubs and fans shared the same ambitions but I guess they never will. It's been like herding cats as it is without involving the amateur circus. I'd leave WoS & EoS bottom tier open to application.

That will limit progress unless they can groundshare. See Edinburgh South and St. Cadoc's, not sure on Drumchapel Utd. Junior football serves no purpose any more. Nothing it does is unique. The bulk of its big clubs have gone. It is extinct in significant parts of the country. Time to move on to a more united semi pro game. If there is to be a closing of the gap between amateurs and the semi pro game (what the SFA sees as recreational vs. non recreational football) then a bit of thinking needs to be done as the SFA wants infrastructure standards to rise, not fall. Drumchapel, St Cadoc’s and Edinburgh South are all ground-sharing. The answer may be in forming a new West of Scotland Amateur League and East of Scotland Amateur League which caters for the best of the Amateurs and those with ambition. Say 10 or 12 clubs in each league.
welshbairn
They'd be as well moving the SJFA HQ up to Aberdeen.

Like everything with that club they want everything for next to nothing or free the new ground being prime example. -
Junior Pub League
There are no Junior clubs in the WoS, its not really hard to understand no matter how much you stamp your feet and wish it were so.

Which is probably a question that a lot of fans would of had during this time of change.
