there's a guy at my work who is an absolute wetwipe who repeatedly called me Ryan every day despite it not being my name at all. We all wear security passes too with our names on them so I don't get the confusion, He eventually stopped when I had to send him an email about a case I was working on.  There isn't even a Ryan in this office!

Try flushing him down the toilet.

A regular customer of ours always called me Dean when he phoned up and I answered. It got to the stage where it was happened for so long that it was too late for me to correct him. One time I even sent him an email with my name in the signature, and he replied “thanks, Dean”.

"How is it *insert time either close to the end of the day or lunch time* already?!"

Always said by c***s that pretend to be busy buy actually do sod all. Anyone heard saying this should be minced and fed to small mammals.

Cunt in my work exactly as you described.  He also claims to get into the office at 7.30 every morning (we all start at 8.30) as he's 'crazy busy'.  Turns out he leaves his house at half 7 and he gets into work at 8.10.

He always leaves early when the manager is away in meetings with clients too.  I don't think he's ever seen 5 o clock in here when the manager wasn't around.

I mentioned this earlier in the thread but he's the guy we all call Gareth Keenan. We had a desk move around a couple of weeks ago and he was one of the 2 office dickheads who insisted at sitting at the back with his monitors facing the wall so no one can see them, but so he can see everyone else's then message the MD about what's on them.

Proper arse-tongueing jobsworth.  A proper real-life Keenan.  And he's a County fan, which goes without saying.

I work with a guy who is in the office at 6:30am and leaves at 7pm every day. He’s only contracted to work 08:30am to 5pm so just does all the extra time for free. When he’s been on business trips he doesn’t claim back his expenses and he has to be told to take holidays. He lives on his own, has no friends or family and has a reedy laugh.

Serial killer IMHO.

Assuming he eats and sleeps, he hasn't got much of a time frame for these murderous sprees, whether on a regular basis or not.

My bet is he's a sad, lonely individual who watches a lot of porn. Or maybe football.

I had a boss who was like this. Very inefficient so came in early and left late every single day and often worked Saturdays and Sundays to try to catch up. He couldn’t understand why he was so much ‘busier’ than everyone else, and expected others to put in the same ridiculous number of hours as he did. Must have annoyed him having people do their jobs well in the normal working hours when he was incapable of it.

The junior partner when I worked in Belfast was a bit like that, too. First in, last out (most days - one day I was still there whenever he left, but he just switched on the burglar alarm anyway), part of his problem was he was incapable of delegating (he delegated, but changed every report that came across his desk) and he was incapable of programming, leaving everything to the last minute, no matter how much lead in time he had, although I suppose we are all maybe guilty of that to an extent.

If he could have sorted out those two areas he could have worked sensible hours like the rest of us.
