Pearbuyerbell
1. Johann Lamont - Imagine a post-stroke Angela Merkel. 2. James Francis Murphy - Monotone drone bore 3. Kezia Dugdale - My priority is education but I only talk about Indy. 4. Iain Gray - How can we fund an oil fund? 5. Wendy Alexander - Salmond clearly trolling this week praising her. Miguel Sanchez
Whatever order they should be in (5 JoLo, 4 iaingray.gif, 3 Kez the Dug, 2 Jim "We Wont' Lose Any Seats to the SNP" Murphy), history demonstrates that #1 should only ever be "The next one." forkboy
Henry McLeish & Wendy Alexander are totally under-rated shouts here. Both punted out of office because of financial scandals, McLeish was only First Minister for 13 months & Alexander didn't even make a year. Next to them, Jim Murphy & Iain Gray, Johann Lamont seems positively excellent & Kez seemed like someone who might have been able to do the job at some point in the future, but not at the lowest point Labour in Scotland had experienced in about 95 years. welshbairn
Jim Murphy, a neocon and admirer of Ian Duncan Smith, the inventor of the bedroom tax and universal credit, has to be in the worst depths that Labour have ever trawled for a leader. Ivo den Bieman
Iain Gray was a disaster. A coward, a buffoon, and all the charm of an irritable wasp.
Mark Connolly
It really shows the quality of opposition when Jack McConnell can't get a look-in.

Also the 2nd longest surviving Scottish Labour leader since the Scottish Parliament opened up. The fact only McConnell is the only other one to make it 3 years in the job points to one of the actual biggest problems with Scottish Labour. Kejan
Iain Gray was hilarious, although he must be popular in East Lothian - I'm sure he won his seat both in 2011 and 2016?
Kmeister
Iain Gray was hilarious, although he must be popular in East Lothian - I'm sure he won his seat both in 2011 and 2016? He did. For some reason the Labour Party is pretty strong in East Lothian. The man is still a pie though.
