Dindeleux
Now that St Johnstone have spent 10 successive years in the top flight and with a Scottish Cup under their belt - the question is how long until the big four becomes the big 5?Probably won’t happen to be honest mate. -

killienick
Speaking of Ayr United. They didn't walk away but instead continue to fund their club weekly. I regret my choices but mask them with obfuscation and google searches that appear to back my claim we still have our trophies when we don't - we died. To be honest, sometimes I cry myself to sleep. JamieThomas
Al Ahly from the Egypt have won piles more than Rangers, btw. Plus their fans didn't sit on their fat infested arses shouting "WATP" and tonguing photos of Nacho Novo rather than a lifting a finger to stop their club from dying, so they win there too.

killiekranky
Wrong thread, I know but it could help Bob get things into perspective. So, Rangers were basically Elvis, in the olden days they were both incredibly successful and adored by a large chunk of the population. Then success faded , they were playing to smaller crowds and on a downward spiral. Then the opportunity to resurrect their glory days came along, Elvis with the 68 comeback special Rangers with the 88 comeback special, when David Murray took over after failing to secure his “Big Team” Both Elvis and Rangers enjoyed a spell of recovered success but neither could keep it up. Elvis turned to drink and drugs, Rangers turned to EBT’s, Financial doping and insurmountable debt. Both died ! Then there were attempts to resurrect both of them again in a new guise. The Rangers are basically the football version of Shakin Stevens.

craigkillie
It became a UEFA sanctioned tournament when it became the UEFA Cup. That's why the name changed.
Guest Moomintroll
Of course it was. It later became the UEFA cup and now is the Europa League. Wasn't a UEFA tournament until the early 70s, was a competition between cities who hosted trade fairs before that so craigkillie is correct.
