Nelson
Lee Bullen not quoted again for a managerial vacancy despite us finishing 2nd last season. Either he’s viewed as being safe as houses at Ayr or is not well enough regarded enough by the wider football community to be a credible option. Not great for us either way.

I don't think there is much to read into it to be fair for a few reasons; 1) He isn't one of the usual suspect merry-go-round guys. 2) He's got no connection to Inverness and his family are down South, so would mean moving another 4 hours further away. 3) He's fairly new in the door, you'd think finishing 2nd would be more realistically be looking for a bigger job than moving to a club who in relatively terms are similarly sized and below us in the table. I would be more worried if he wasn't even a suggested name if the Dunfermline (connection as a player, so might make sense to move sideways) or Sheff Wednesday job came up.
itzdrk
I'd probably die laughing if that shitehawk got an English Championship job. Edited September 20, 2023 by itzdrk

They’re not in a position to be poaching managers from the same league. Only Dundee United would fall into that category.

There are sound logical reasons why Inverness wouldn’t be interested in Bullen, not least that they’d have to pay compensation. But the bookies have Dougie Imrie as one of the favourites for the job, with John Hughes quoted at 12/1 and Bullen again not even quoted as a long shot which seems odd.
ayrunitedfw
Aye in reality Bullen is never going to leave Ayr for ICT. At best it’s a sidewards move. I also don’t see any other club coming in for him so sadly we’re stuck with him until he’s sacked/walks.

The first one played for Inverness which is the usual go to when making up next manager odds and the 2nd is their former cup winning manager which is the next criteria. After that, I'm assuming this will be McBookie in which case the rest are normally priced based on Twitter requests. None of that is any basis to decide what the rest of Scottish football think of our manager.

So you’re saying there’s a chance he might yet go to Inverness??

Of course there isn’t, just like there’s no chance of Imrie going to them. Honestly no idea what your point is. They’re not appointing a manager already in this league whether it’s Bullen or any of the rest.
diegomarahenry
Inverness wont pay any compensation for a manager. Unless Bullen wanted to move there and why would he, his partner wont move up from Sheffield so he'd have even longer to travel.

Maybe his partner is a total boot and getting even further away is an attraction for him. He could be holding out for the Rosenberg job.

Even if we weren’t toiling he wouldn’t be in the conversation for going there. If we’re going to be replacing him then we also won’t be looking at any other managers in this league.
