Unpopular opinion maybe, but the 2001-2002 team that made it to our one and only major cup final should be in the HoF IMO. I know we only finished 3rd in the league that season, but what a cup run that team had.

Also Glynn Hurst and Michael Moffat should be in there.

If you were going to add any team it should be the 1969-70 team that took a Celtic team full of Lisbon Lions to a replay in the League Cup semi-final after a dodgy penalty helped Celtic to a 3-3 draw in the first game.

Several of them are already in the Hall of Fame but that was the best Ayr side of all time. Possibly the best part-time team Scotland has seen.

I always thought Steve Nicol should be inducted to the hall of fame. In terms of achievements at Ayr, he played only 70 games after coming through the Ayr youth set up from Troon Thistle. But he went from Ayr directly to the Liverpool set up and was a regular soon after, winning Scotland caps, English titles, FA cups and European titles.

David Stewart the goalkeeper won a Scotland cap while at Ayr, certainly played more games but the majority of his achievements were at Leeds.

Seems strange that Steve Nicol isn't in it.

Going to be difficult for Bullen to fall back on his strong, plucky draws against Raith and Dunfermline when it turns out that everyone else in the league is capable of simply beating them.

Sportsound have sent Billy Dodds to commentate this? That's a bit harsh.

Why is he playing Smith up front when you have at least 3 attacking players on the bench?

Don't worry, there will be a masterful substitution coming up to resolve that. Will probably replace him with Mutch.

"Look, it worked for Arbroath and even at 52 I'm not too old to pick up a thing or two from other teams."
