Dundee United signing Doc is a strange one. He's not premier league standard and normally misses 2 months of the season with injuries. He is a very good Championship midfielder.

Like when Kilmarnock came down, signing good championship players doesn't mean you will walk the league and it also means you'll struggle next season because you have a championship standard team on all on two and three year deals. Turner has yet to make the step up but looks like he is more than ready and would have made more sense for them, maybe it'll come.

I think one of their main issues last season was being too soft in central midfield and having no one to do the def defensive side of the game - Docherty immediately fixes that for them and is one of the best in the league in that role. They also have some ridiculous quality in front of him for this level, and Docherty is much closer to top league level than some of the shite Kilmarnock brought in!

Yeah, that's not why we lost Robbo.

Was a major factor going by the chances we did not take in first leg a

He wont be a bad signing for them at all, unless he's out for a while at some point.

Think teams look at how managers perform over a full league campaign rather than a 2 game play off of which a team played 165 out of the 180 minutes missing their best player/ top goal scorer

So in other words, like absolute dogshit as soon as the first conkers fell from the trees?

No matter how we look at it the team finished 2nd over the full season , if we played the first half of the season like second and vice versa fans would be saying we had a great season as a lot only look at the recent results not the full season on which most personnel are judged

Maybe stopped to lend a hand with demoliton?

I'm sure Smith typed that with a voice of excitement and every other Ayr fan thought, aye, here we go with pictures of rubble outnumbering pictures of football activity again.

It is exciting but we teased an advert for a DIY shop and it has had more mentions than the ground breaking on the new stand which shows where the majority of the supports thirst for info sits.

I seriously don't get this theory that people are irrationally judging Bullen poorly compared to how they would feel about some theoretical other position.

Whether you take P&B to be representative of the wider support or not (I'd agree that people here typically have stronger opinions), that seemingly a majority of people don't seem to be very bothered with the potential departure of a manager who led the club to its most successful season since Saddam Hussein still had a palace is certainly noteworthy.

The question remains as to whether the season was down to Bullen or down to the players he was given, and furthermore whether any of the ones who are staying on are better than they were last season
