On top of everything else, there is no chance the likes of McGeady in the dressing room will put up with some young boy, who has shown nothing with us or elsewhere to suggest he is immediately entitled to start spouting his mouth off after not playing in a singular game.

Another reason why it is so important to have experienced standard setters like McGeady and Murphy about the place.

So he chucked a tantrum about not playing and is jettisoned out the club after two months and no one is questioning Bullens man management skills on how to get the best out of players.

On Friday afternoon there are two new midfielders getting handed training kit, on the Saturday you are on the bench while a centre back plays badly for 90 + minutes and the manager subs off the only actual midfielder off meaning you are effectively 6th, about to be 7th in line for a starting spot once everyone is fit. Yet he was scouted by our spreadsheet Svengali and given a two year deal because we only sign the right type of player.

No wonder he's leaving for personal reasons, personally, I'd be raging as well.

Thats Ashford having a pop when he left, Pendlebury walking and folk on here have blamed both players.

Maybe the club is a fucking shambles and Mathies powerpoints can only cover up so much.

Quite a microsoft office heavy post.

Not everything needs to be twisted into a failure of Bullen - this quite blatantly isn’t on him. Any football player would be frustrated, I wouldn’t want someone around that chucks it in based on one game - it’s a pathetic attitude.

Criticise the recruitment all you want, as that is entirely fair though.

Sam Ashford wanting to play in front of Dipo Akenyemi isn’t a thing either.

One Drive to an away game, failed to SharePoint(s), then no Access to the starting xi. It's a sad story.

Why would it not be on Bullen, he is literally his line manager

The narrative we have been given when capable, championship players sign for other clubs is. we have to sign the right type of player, we don't want any bad apples. Pendlebury was signed, on a two year contract, how is that not a failure of the recruitment, or maybe the first part is just toss spouted by the club

Ashford asked to play in his natural position, which he wasn't doing when Dipo was out the squad and when he left.

OneNote to Exchange is that bad eggs are likely to never be Intune with the rest of the Team(s).

It’s fairly obvious that him being on the bench on Saturday was not what led to him leaving. He’d have made up his mind before that resulting in him being left on the bench. Highly doubt the guys decided to walk in on Monday and inform them he’s pissing off back home and the club have just accepted it by the Tuesday.

If every footballer took a huff after being dropped there wouldn’t be a team left - it’s part of being a footballer, if you can’t accept it and work to prove your manager wrong then you won’t be having a very good career.

I didn’t say it wasn’t a failure of recruitment?!

You genuinely believe that Sam Ashford should have been given more chances in his “natural position” and it was a failure of Bullen that he didn’t? If anything he got far too many chances in front of Adeloye when he arrived - and was generally woeful.

Its up to the manager to deal with the expectations of the players and man manage them, give them targets and opportunities to prove themselves capable. I see no evidence that Bullen has done this.

Ashfords issue was not being played in his correct position, which he wasn't. He was given very few opportunities to do so. Your point was that he shouldn't have started before Dipo, I didn't say he should and I don't think Ashford did either. A lot of trying to put words in my mouth here
