My son asks me often who my favourite players were when I was his age, Annand is definitely on that list of greats. I hadn't long came out of hospital myself after being diagnosed with brain tumours, when Annand scored the penalty to get Ayr to the cup final. A moment (be it another second half of extra time) I will forever treasure. My Grandfather in tears at the final whistle. The knowledge he is dealing with tumours himself now is heartbreaking for me.
