Belgium v Brazil - Quarter final

Brazil better than people seem to realise, Belgium worse than people expect.

Brazil should win this pretty easily, by a one, probably two goal margin. Expect that last twenty minutes will be a ragdolling session as Belgium open up to try and get back in the match.

Hipsters to be crying into their flat beer by full time.

Shearer genuinely just claimed that 'we don't like that in our country' in reference to diving and playacting.

What a disingenuous p***k. It's rife in England and absolutely encouraged (see the amount of arseholes who say shite like 'he was entitled to go down' etc)

Shearer was partial to a dive himself, and England have one of the worst offenders around at the moment in Sterling.

Yup. He said it was taught in other countries, and not just diving but the rolling around and playacting. That might be true, but it's definitely taught at English clubs.

He's trying to make out that English teams and England in general are jolly good honest lads whilst the bad foreign types are sneaky cheats.

It's strange how he's so outspoken, but when Rio Ferdinand said he'd have been raging at Carrasco, when Carrasco was fouled in the box but stayed up, for not falling down when he felt contact, he sat there silently looking the other way.
