SUPERSOUTH
As the title says was wondering if there will be any replays shown live on TV?
The Master
I don’t think so. Replays weren’t mentioned when the deal was announced. But if there were one, it would almost certainly be Stenhousemuir v Aberdeen.
HibeeJibee
Sky and BBC both had rights to 1 replay per round until this season. Rarely used them. PremierSports are showing the postponed Cowdenbeath v Rangers tie on Wednesday 30th, so you'd probably be relying on BBC interest in Stenhousemuir v Aberdeeen the night before. 7-2
The right to show a replay should automatically be given for cup ties. It may be two games but it's still the same tie so you should be able to see it until it's won. You get both legs of a two legged tie so this should be no different. DG.Roma
Doubt it. They'll be up against English Premier League games if they do. Can't see Premier Sports or BBC putting the money in to cover a game when Man City are on BT at the same time. Might be different if they were on an empty midweek
HibeeJibee
On a related vein to 7-2's slightly off-piste idea above... does the SFA still allocate the same match officials to replays as in the first tie? Certainly until recently that was the case, maybe still is.
paulbrucerick
Do Celtic or Rangers have replays? If not then I guess you will know the answer.
jamamafegan
That gave me a laugh seeing the young County fans giving it the big’n to the Well fans after their goals [emoji23]
