DiamondJack85
According to the OS Hutton, Gallacher and MacDonald are all out for tomorrow so looks like it will be Willison in goal. David_86
Think Murray will shock us all and will set up with 5 across the back, supported by 3 defensive mids and hump long balls to no one. Should see us comfortably only lose by the odd goal. Excited for it already.
Chapelhall chap
Like others I have no idea what Murray will opt for but surely we can only win by having a go at Stranraer with some pace and effort; that excludes Wedderburn IMO and maybe a 4-4-2 is more attacking. Who plays is beyond my pay grade but I suspect McCann will be back in and Reilly will be on the bench. Thomson on right and fill in the rest with whoever. need to win or the vultures will be circling the dug outs Spoiler Edited September 27, 2019 by Chapelhall chap spelling error
Jack Reed
Wedderburn and Roy back in starting line up ,Manager gives every one a game ,It's maybe not what Wedderburn and Roy have done to deserve place ,it's maybe what the players that were playing have not done to be kept in side ,just a thought ,

++Ammo - Airdrie++
Maybe if we play Wedderburn on Saturday the midfield won’t be bypassed like it was against Raith. It will be bypassed the way it was at east fife , we have quantity not quality This.
Roger Thornhill
Manager got it wrong again. Why Roberts wasnt playing from the start instead of Reilly is beyond me.

G_H
- I wish they would start the game playing as though they were chasing 2-0 down rather than actually go 2-0 down then have 45 minutes in which to chase the game. - Reilly is as good as a man down, send him back to hamilton, especially if we are paying anything for him. In fact, Hamilton should have to pay us to have him. - Roberts should be starting in midfield based on that display vs the rest of what we have seen so far this season, might actually be what's been missing. - I didn't see the equaliser, but from the 85+ minutes watched, McKay's long throws don't make up for the remainder of his abilities, and he needs to take a big part of the blame for the 2nd goal.

Thomson on right and fill in the rest with whoever. need to win or the vultures will be circling the dug outs Reveal hidden contents As usual I got the line up all wrong but then again so did the 2 year Manager. I would give Wedderburn some pass marks for the second half in that he did have a bit of an impact by assisting the first goal-probably the one time he was up the park. As to the young guy Reilly , he was anonymous and does not deserve to start in front of either Roberts or Millar. That was shown by the second half impact by Roberts. Thomson was posted missing for much of the first half ( like all the rest) and just as he looked as if he would get by Hamill he got a bad injury. The vultures were certainly there at half time and indeed the wee fracas at our end in the lower seats was about all the excitement to report. Where that first half came from is not a surprise-a failure to defend a corner/sloppy defending for the second and generally unable to "lay a glove " on an average Stranraer. They got confidence from the initial goal and did seem composed on the ground. Robertson and Cummins had little bother as we never played any football. Roberts did make the difference and there were some good attacks-the BBC says we had 20 attempts but I must have missed that. It was a good first goal but I was not sure who got it (Roy?) We got a break when the rather harsh Red Card was given-I don't think he was trying to injure McKay and it let us dominate by moving at pace. It did look as if we would never score but McKay did it. I thought Gallagher way out wide was a waste and it puzzles me why Murray does this. We might have stolen a win with that tremendous shot by Roberts but it was a great save by goalie. ( Probably the quickest he moved all game) I suppose a point keeps us up there but it was a real worry in the first half. On to Peterburgh next week ( I quote Michael Gove) where I have not seen a win.

I think one guy losing the plot is not a reflection on the club, but a damning comment on the unseemly fracas is well merited on whoever it was. I did see it developing and getting out of hand despite the stewards best efforts but I certainly could not say that I knew who anyone was at that time. I assume you know who the player was?

Jack Reed
If we play like we did in the first half against most teams in this league we will be that far down we will never comeback we were lucky it was Stranraer ,to many boys just not at the races , we would be aswell shoving Wedderburn upfront punting high ball and trying to feed off any ball he wins ,at least it would be a plan because we do not have one at moment, where does this manager get his plan for the team ,surely you cannot defend him again ,

airdrieman
Who would have thought playing players with a bit of creativity and urgency would would result in goals? Probably won't catch on. I've been more patient with Murray than others have been but that first half was utterly dreadful and it was largely down to the system he played and the personnel he picked. The same mistakes - inability to defend set pieces - and bizarre team selections are made every week and he never seems to learn from them. Gallagher is not a winger. He's not going to beat his man. get to the byline and send in a cross but he will get you goals. Everyone knows this from the first 3 or 4 times we tried to play Gallagher on the wing - except from Murray. But if he hasn't realised he's not a winger by now maybe he never will. I was willing to give Roy the benefit of the doubt that he might be better playing upfront rather than out wide but he still contributes absolutely nothing. Made Gallagher being shoved out on the wing all the more galling. Reilly is an empty shirt and I've no idea what he's done to merit playing over Roberts or Hawkshaw. Wedderburn plays the odd nice pass but he cannot play in a midfield two at all and he was badly exposed and way off the pace today, particularly in the first half. We were carved open so easily for Stranraer's second goal and as much as the defence were at fault Wedderburn has his share of the blame too. Wedderburn and Reilly were also sitting way too deep for most of the first half. It's all well and good for Murray to tell them to push up but he's setting them up that way. Thomson is a threat but is wasted out on the left rather than in his natural position wide right. Hope he's okay after his sore landing today. Second half we were better (I was going to say much better but that might be stretching it a little) and that was purely due to the introduction of Roberts (and to a lesser extent Hawkshaw). it made a difference actually having players who could pick a pass, drive forward with the ball and who actually have a bit of pace and creativity. Not to mention who are also a goal threat. Roberts shot would have been a magnificent though scantly deserved winning goal. If Murray takes anything from this game it should be - play your best players in their best positions and play players who actually have a bit of creativity about them. As I said during the week we're making things needlessly difficult for ourselves by setting up so defensively when there's absolutely no need to.
Mybitchunderprotest
Shameful incident in the first half with a players family being abused, Sad day for the club... Was it the family being abused or was it one of the under performers on the field (rightly or wrongly) being given pelters to which family then reacted?Unless the abuse being given was racist, homophobic, some other hate crime, or just absolute vitriol then the person dishing it out is perfectly entitled to an opinion. Family shouldn't sit with fans if they don't like to hear that kind of thing. I'm not one for shouting abuse at games but each to their own. And to be honest with you I only saw one person acting violently and it wasn't the fan lashing out with a crutch and throwing punches. The stewards were absolutely woeful and did nothing but put a shout in for the cops.
