FairWeatherFan
Tranent's twitter is active for the first time today congratulating those that have gained licenses. So a chance their own statement is incoming, unless they got some bad news today.

Burnie_man
Would be very surprising if Tranent have dropped the ball at this stage and not been awarded a licence.

Would also be a waste of £2,000 application fee as well.

It's not like you pay £2,000 a year if you don't get in.

LongTimeLurker
So there should definitely be an EoS champion with a licence.

As far as we are concerned at Tranent, no one has been granted a licence yet, this wont be ratified until the next SFA meeting, we have only been advised that we meet all the criteria that should enable us to be granted the entry level licence? We now wait until all the t's have been crossed and the i's dotted at that said meeting.

HibeeJibee
Once the memberships are awarded this will mean EOSL having 21 SFA member clubs. It will overtake HL in having 2nd-biggest representation in that body, a placing they had held since 1920s, IIRC.

Pyramidic
Well done Sauchie: https://www.alloaadvertiser.com/sport/18294026.exciting-times-ahead-sauchie-juniors-aim-scottish-cup-place/
Ginaro
https://www.alloaadvertiser.com/sport/18294026.exciting-times-ahead-sauchie-juniors-aim-scottish-cup-place/?ref=twtrec Quote SAUCHIE chairman Karl Rennie believes securing a Scottish Football Association licence will be a major stepping stone for the club. The Wee County side are on the verge of submitting paperwork to the governing body for an Entry Level badge and hope to have it in place by the start of next season. The SFA licence will grant the club access to the senior Scottish Cup qualifying rounds and also pave the way for entry into the main SPFL pyramid. And an excited Rennie is sure it will help the ambitious Clacks club achieve their goals. He told Advertiser Sport: “We are in the process of going for our SFA licence and all the paperwork is now in place for that. “We missed the deadline for the January application process so we will make sure we have everything in place for the start of next season. “It’s going to mean additional revenue for the club as we actually get into the big Scottish Cup. “And depending on how well we do and how many rounds we get through, that will have a huge benefit to the club in the long run. “That also gives us the chance to progress through the full pyramid system. “It’s been in the pipeline for a while and a lot of people have been putting in the work, especially on the ground, to get it to where it needs to go to. “We are now pretty confident we will be able to reach the level needed to meet the SFA requirements.” If they are successful in securing their licence, the club will gain entry into the 2021/22 Scottish Cup where they will hope to follow in the footsteps of Premier Division rivals Broxburn Athletic in making it through to the latter stages. The Lothian side defeated East Stirlingshire and Cowdenbeath this season en route to a money-spinning tie away to Jim Goodwin’s St Mirren in the fourth round. To achieve an Entry Level licence, the club has to ensure it meets certain criteria, including being able to count entry numbers into Beechwood Park and ensuring the surrounding areas to the pitch are not a safety risk to players. The Reds will now hold a special meeting for coaches and club officials on Monday night to set out their future plans. “It is mainly a meeting for the managers and the coaches of all the different teams at the club,” Rennie said. “We are trying to link them up together. It's an exciting time for boss Fraser Duncan (right) and assistant Davie Beaton “That means making sure we all have the same kits because if we do then we will get a better deal from the supplier. “We’ll also be looking at has the academy has grown in recent years and seeing how we can add to it, if we can. “We want to give everyone some familiarity and so they are all clear and understand the direction the club is going in.” The meeting takes place 7.30pm at Beechwood.

gaz5
Not sure about the comment "for the start of next season". They've missed that boat already. Start of the season after next at the earliest. Edit: to be fair the chairman does say that later the paper have picked it up wrong. Will definitely need work on the floodlights to meet the variance criteria for next year, but shouldn't be too far off with much else ground wise.
