JamieThomas
"Change" is an absolutely fucking stupid name for a party.
Salvo Montalbano
He was Chief Executive for Europe, the Middle East and Asia; a top position that put him in regular contact with Dick Fuld, the final Chairman of Lehman, who was named among the “25 People to Blame for the Financial Crisis" by Time Magazine. Was it just me who read that as Dick Fudd?
John Lambies Doos
They’re registering as a new party under the name ‘Change UK’, so a big welcome to the CUKs...Heidi Allen is the new leader. So the group of right wing blairites are now being led by a Tory. Quelle Surprise..
Granny Danger
I wonder if the Lib Dems will have an electoral pact with this bunch if a GE is called soon. I reckon the grassroots Lib Dem members won’t be happy if that happens.

Donathan
Dominic Grieve tipped to join after his local Tory association binned him
Malcolm Malcolm
1) I am amazed that Chuka is not making himself leader. 2) What a crap name for a slightly more right-wing than Blairite party who no doubt spent an absolute fortune on PR people and various consultants to come up with it. Sooky
If you’re going to pick a crappy, meaningless name at least choose something normal like “the centrists” or “the moderates” that are actually used by other parties in Europe. (I know a lot of people will think they are neither of those things, but that’s how they are trying to portray themselves)

No more meaningless than Change.

Detournement
The meaningless name is all part of the strategy. They will be the party for people who don't like politics with lots of PR jargon about representing an alternative without actually having any policies. All they are looking to do is shave a couple of points off the Labour vote. Edited March 30, 2019 by Detournement

An early election would probably finish them off though.

If the Tories veer to the hard right and Labour keep their reputation for being hard left, they could do ok if the Lib Dems don't get their act together. They need time and a load of money to get their party infrastructure together though. Would be interesting if they challenge Tories and Labour in Scotland as I can't see them taking any votes off the SNP.
