That's my conclusion from years of watching him at Championship level. It's as clear as day when a player comes by in the Championship that has the ability to go on and play for Scotland. It was obvious with Griffiths, McNulty and McGinn (and Scougall tbf) that they would go on and play for us one day. Not Shankland. He's just average. He's just turned 23 and has only played a couple of seasons at Championship level, so thank Christ you're not scouting for the national side. He had a good season in League 2 for Coventry and got a move to Reading off the back of that but has failed to hold down a place, hence the move to Hibs. He's in excellent form and where he had played in the past shouldn't really come in to the debate.
