Will he be getting Boris to take DNA tests live on air?

Only if he can hide behind a bouncer when dear old loveable British eccentric Boris gets raging on hearing the results, and starts shouting “codswallop!”, “hogwash!”, and “mugwump!”

how could the audience buy tickets to judge and Laugh at people with chaotic lives?

Because is made them feel better, it televised people who were doing worse than 99.9% of people therefore was consumed by those on the next rung up for them to gorge themselves.

This video illustrates the sheer awfulness of Jeremy Kyle.

Without getting all high and mighty, how could the audience buy tickets to judge and Laugh at people with chaotic lives?

Pretty evil stuff, but also says a lot about human psychology.

It's weird how you can live through times that seem normal and then suddenly within a few years it seems abhorrent.

I always thought Jeremy Kyle was wrong-un fuel but that time period was pretty mad in general.

The UK definitely had a poverty porn issue. The scheme and that show with Fat Dee were so perverse looking back.

Aye The Scheme was dreadful, although I’m sure Marvin made a few quid out of it!

Derren Brown done a show on this mentality. Got everybody in for a show where one guys day is basically chosen for him by the audience. They pick things to happen to him (choices good and bad) and the crowd get really behind some awful stuff like having him abducted. Everybody sitting cheering when this c**t gets bundled into the back of a van terrified for his life.

Human beings can be such c***s to others. It's hard in this world not to have ingrained bias and hatred against others and with the internet, social media and the MSM continually hammering different sections of society we all take the bait in the race to the bottom. I'm as guilty as the next man as I think anyone who votes for the tories is a selfish horrible c**t and I actually have hatred towards the upper classes and the establishment.  I love the experiment they done with hippy students when some would be the jailers and others the prisoners the treatment they dished out was brutal https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stanford_prison_experiment                             Humans, what we like?

Yes, it's interesting and depressing stuff.  It does seem incredible that it was on one of our major channels each morning so recently.

That little film made much of the lie detector tests, but barely mentioned DNA tests for paternity issues.  I really thought they were disgusting and I was amazed it was allowed.  For something as fundamental to an individual's sense of self, to be treated as feed to a baying mob when the person at the centre was a baby or young child, is beyond despicable.

As a footnote, the one time I was invited for jury duty, Jeremy Kyle's was the programme playing in the waiting room they popped us in before the ballot.

Poverty Porn is still alive and well on UK TV. Turn on C5 any other show and things like;

Rich Kids Go Skint,

Another bloody bailiff programme,

Rich House, Poor House

More Kids Than Cash

You are supposed to enjoy watching how crap other folks lives are, and for extra spice see how the rich live and don't know or care,

As if a week of beans on toast will change some brat that got a BMW for their 17th birthday.

Yeah, something so delicate and important as a child's identity being played with for the entertainment of clapping ghouls is, as you rightly say, despicable.

Then when you take into consideration that it's being beamed into homes across the nation, it reaches a whole new level of disgrace.

Interesting stuff and thanks for posting.

It's such a primal mindset and as much as we don't want to admit it., it is in us all.  It is partly responsible for a lot of life's ills, from school bullying, to the success of totalitarian regimes.

Just looked it up there, Ru.  Is this the person you're referring to?

I'm kinda at the stage in life when I just don't like mocking people full stop to be honest.  Maybe it makes me slightly boring!
