Playing devils advocate here, as I’ve no skin in the game, but if they ban smoking near school’s & playgrounds, how are young children meant to learn how to smoke? Is it not just kicking the can down the road?

I think the reason VHS took off was because Thorn EMI invested in it & the EMI part owned rights to so many songs on the soundtracks & refused to license them to Betamax producers to protect their investment, might be utter shite, but that’s what I was told at the time.

I’ve got to say there have been some excellent posts in this thread, @GordonS, @Freedom Farter in particular, however there’s been some drivel, looking at you @Wacky. my tuppence for what it’s worth, the education levels of the “protesters” must be among the most abysmal in the country. I’m also with @Monkey Tennis, these guys aren’t angry in the slightest about the harrowing tragedy that’s claimed three little girls lives, hopefully all the injured pull thru, what they are is deliriously happy at being able to prove they were correct about immigrants despite being completely wrong, I genuinely hope that there are very severe prison sentences handed down especially after the spectacular over reaction to JSO peaceful protest.

I get what you are saying, but is that not why the police are supposed to be highly trained, to deal with any situation they may encounter? Like wise, a member of the public may be attacked & react in the way policeman did, but if that incident was caught on CCTV, rest assured it would be serious charges, no matter who the original protagonist was.
