Deanburn Dave
What was big Dougie on today? Had a wee run through their defence in the first half that took me back 10 years. Also had one cracker tipped over the bar by the 'keeper..........and yet there were times today when he was miles off the pace.

Deanburn Dave
Totally agree Alan there's a lot of twists ahead. The BU's are undefeated in the league with 7 wins and 3 draws. We have rode our luck in several games and benefitted from several late goals. I would have no complaints had we dropped several points in the league. We are not playing great football but we are grinding out the points.

He’s not a box player. Max has obviously other ideas but does anyone know what our best 11 is?

Deanburn Dave
My 11 would be Murphy, Back 4 of Jacobs, Snowdon, Hunter and Campbell. Midfield of Gemmell, Comrie, Stevenson and Morgan. Front 2 McKenzie and Keast.
HibeeJibee
Bo'ness results this season... draws or wins by 1 goal in bold. Broxburn 1-1 Bo'ness Dundonald 2-2 Bo'ness Crossgates 1-6 Bo'ness Newtongrange 1-5 Bo'ness [AJC] Bo'ness 4-2 Oakley [EQC] Jeanfield 0-1 Bo'ness Musselburgh 3-1 Bo'ness [AJC] Penicuik 3-3 Bo'ness Bo'ness 1-2 BSCG (aet) [SCC] Newtongrange 2-3 Bo'ness Bo'ness 2-1 Tranent Bo'ness 4-3 Musselburgh Dunbar 1-2 Bo'ness Inverkeithing 1-2 Bo'ness [EQC] Bo'ness 1-0 Sauchie From memory several of those involved late goals too? It shows great resilience and belief from a team to fight to the end every time - and to win by the odd goal 6 games running. It might also show an element of riding their luck, tbf.
Deanburn Dave
Once Brian Ritchie gets match fit he may well get into my 11 possibly at the expense of Keast.

boness4ever
NOV 23 we were due to play at Penicuik in league, having played earlier in the season that date was a no game, but now Edinburgh Utd are free that day, makes sense to play them on that day
HibeeJibee
Could be various alterations to November 23rd. Penicuik v Bo'ness was brought forward (albeit Penicuik will have Scottish Cup R3 tie if they beat Stenhousemuir); Whitehill and Edinburgh United's games will be off due to Alex Jack Cup Final; plus HoB and Tranent's games would be off if Broxburn and Linlithgow beat Cowdenbeath and Stirling Uni respectively.

Probably have been riding our luck on occasion, but with players like Michael Gemmell and Devon Jacobs bursting a gut and giving 110% every game, they are guys that instil a fighting spirit in the BU and we are never beaten before the final whistle.

A good manager uses his squad wisely, dependent on form, opponents style etc. Max is that kind of manager.

The sensible scenario for Bo’ness on the 23rd would be Edinburgh or HOB,as our trip to Fife is one of the games still to be arranged,Whitehill and Tranent games are already pencilled in
