...Who are actually both fairly reasonable by Scottish league standards.

I've never heard of this team, but I'd imagine Aberdeen would have been hoping for an easier tie.

For the second year in a row, we drew by far and away the most difficult team in the group.

First leg at home as well, and in the last few seasons we've developed an annoying habit of conceding at home in the first leg.

It's tricky.

No room for complacency, we drew a team we know nothing about who play in a league we know nothing about. We could do some research and find out who they play against and who plays for them and who might be in their starting 11 for the first leg. We still need to sign 2 or 3 players to make our starting line-up.

Not an easy tie but dont go in for the 'hardest tie possible' comments. The Uk sides would have been tricky due to them being up for it. The Estonian side had the best pedigree. Happy with our lot.

NK Domžale (SVN) or Balzan FC (MLT)

CS Fola Esch (LUX) or FC Chikhura Sachkhere (GEO)

FC Viitorul (ROU)

FK Čukarički (SRB) or FC Banants (ARM)

FK Buducnost Podgorića (MNE) or JK Narva Trans (EST)

No thanks to Domzale (only going on their West Ham result [emoji2])

Fola Esch brings back the memory of almost going out on away goals.

No easy games in Romania or Serbia Jeff.

Not one of those looks like a good trip....

Not into this 'tough given circumstances' chat. Should be beating this team and if we don't we shouldn't be in Europe in the first place. Not going to get excuses in early.

You're right enough, I don't expect anyone to be a walk over, but we should be able to put out a team to deal with them. We've been in this situation before in previous seasons and credit to Derek, he's put competitive teams together in that time frame, we were lucky Lewis Ferguson hit the ground running and had a great season when Gleeson and the other lad were meant to go direct into the first team. We need a few important signings none more than a replacement for Shinnie, then we should look ready for the start of the season.

Lots of either/or to get past yet, but note that Rangers could also end up going to Luxembourg that same Thursday, so bear in mind there could be a risk of a last-minute change of it being shifted to Tuesday teatime.

Unlikely to get swapped round, since the other Esch team (Jeunesse) are also in this and got a home-leg-first draw.

Nae bother. Get the **** out of the way before kick off and then batter the Dutch wannabees at half time.

Would the potential Progres game not be the more likely to be either switched or moved to the Tuesday, given Fola finished higher in the league last year?

Also, 3 Georgian teams (including Fola’s opponents) all play out of Tbilisi and all drawn away first.

Hmmm. "Steven Gerard's Rangers" bumped to a Tuesday teatime, or Aberdeen. Sadly, you don't need to be a clairvoyant to work out who the money men will favour.

But I can see it being as late as the Friday morning after L2 of Q1, that switches or changes of day get announced, affecting games due less than a week later.

Also, only 200 tickets for the RoPS away game !

Not the easiest of places to get to, would think there would be about 100 max traveling and maybe another 40 or 50 going through the corporate route.
