Blue-Toon
Jim has been with the club for 8 years now. That's longer than Rangers have been a club for.
peternapper
Jim has done lots of good stuff for the club apart from winning two championships & reaching a cup final, over his time he has managed to persuade a number of players to come to Balmoor that may not have otherwise, he has built a fine relationship with the board who have certainly backed him fully. He does a lot to promote the club in the town & country & you know your always going to get an honest answer if asking him anything. Other clubs may have treated a manager differently during our lean spells but Jim & the club have shown loyalty to each other rather than panic.
strichener
Sorry guys I am not seeing what the achievment is. The only thing that has kept him in place is our boards personal feelings towards Jim. There have certainly been some good moments in his Peterhead career but the reality is that next year we will be in the same league as we were in when he took over.

Their is no way in a million years Peterhead would survive in the championship with that squad. Two titles that man has gave you, some teams in the league would like to get their 1st.....Stenny for example!

peternapper
Think he played a half in a pre-season game, looked fairly small for a keeper but we had to get another keeper in when he was injured for a while. so could say how he would get on. On our site now as a 1 week emergency loan. Edited October 18, 2019 by peternapper

peternapper
Quite a decent spread in todays P&J going through a week in Jims role as manager. Shows how different a part time club compared to having players etc available all the time to work with.

embow
In any other walk of life we would be in the court first thing Monday for this outrageous mugging. Apologies to Peterhead for the grand larceny. It must be a real sore one to stomach.
Blue-Toon
Good to read the honest posts from 2 Raith Rovers fans. We played really well today and with a little bit of luck we would be in the draw for the next round. I feared the worst when we lost a goal after only 3 minutes but this turned out to be the only effort Raith had on target. Unfortunately for us this proved to be the difference between the teams despite the best efforts of the boys in pink. The tiny group of Peterhead fans applauded the players off at the end to thank them for their efforts.
Raith_Raver
A few weeks ago I had Peterhead favourites for the drop. But I've been impressed with your latest results and today I would say that that's the best display of any team at Stark's this season by a mile, even Dundee in the League Cup.
blueone
Need to get a proven goal scorer in January. Some excellent play now but let down by the lack of finishing. McAllister and Lyle are showing the effects of age and injury but still good enough to share a game between them. Armour and Smith, however, are not good enough for this level.
