Maybe just have to give a mid-fielder the No9 shirt. I still think that if he can just break his duck Aiden Smith will with proper service get a few but for finding an off the shelf replacement don't think its very likely. The odd HFL games I have seen did not have anyone worth getting the cheque book out for. Possibly the best thing would be to look for a decent quality loan to see the season out & see whats available in the summer. Think a loan would be our best option for the rest of the season but would love to see Smith break his duck and go on a run. Remember it well, we thrashed you 0-0 at Methil & then you had a break away to win 1-0 at Balmoor. Found this old post. Looks like played 6, won 0. Quote Jim McInally in the play offs. 2005-06 - Morton were defeated 1-0 on aggregate by Peterhead in the semi final. 2008-09 - East Stirlingshire were defeated by Cowdenbeath in the semi final. A 2-1 loss at Ochilview was followed by a 1-1 draw at Central Park. John Dempster equalising late on led to carnage - Michael Bolochoweckyj and Sean Anderson were both sent off disputing the equaliser and McInally too was sent off. 99% certain he smashed in a door after the match. 2012-13 - Peterhead were defeated by East Fife in the final. A 4-1 aggregate victory over Queens Park meant the Blue Toon were confident going into the final. After a 0-0 draw in Fife a narrow 1-0 defeat thanks to a goal from David Muir saw East Fife avoid relegation and set up matches against Rangers. 2015-16 - defeated by Ayr United in the semi final. Thrashed would be a better way to describe it than defeated. A 4-1 loss at Balmoor was followed by a 2-1 loss at Somerset. Ayr went on to win promotion on penalties over Stranraer. 2016-17 - defeated by Forfar in the final. Pumped would be a better way to describe it than defeated. A 4-1 aggregate win over Montrose saw the League 1 side face the runners up in League 2. Despite taking an early lead away from home they crashed to a 2-1 defeat with 10 men. Not a horrendous score to take back to Balmoor. How did that match go? Peterhead 1 Forfar 5. Ouch. 2017-18 - Lost to Stenhousemuir.

Positive clue it looks like? Nothing negative unless the people he mentioned(directors) have moved on? Not that I would know as I dont pay that much attention to the day to day workings of the place. Everything points to it being for his benefit financially.

Hmm, not sure as saw one of those directors mentioned at the last home game. The two named are the ones the players often mention as being the directors who go to training to feed the players so not sure if it's maybe just that. Interesting times, just hope we can get in a few more names soon.

Having seen some of the figures bandied about on the Cove Facebook page it looks like it. Chance for a big pay day before retiring from football and can't blame him for that, just think this reeks of underhanded behaviour by Cove but we'll never know.

Mon_The_Fife
Seems a very short sighted signing by Cove to get them into this league. McAllister’s best days are clearly behind him and his goals have dried up so for Cove to spend money and give him a lengthy contract seems a bit strange considering that he will be their talisman now for the foreseeable.
SLClyde
What’s the story with Michael Dunlop? Is it a case of not wanting to travel up most weeks or is there more to it?

Mcallister and Dunlop seem fairly substantial losses to your squad, but frees up a good bit of money probably.

peternapper
Saw on our site we beat The Shire 4-0 in a friendly last night also mentioned that Jim is looking at getting an experienced wide player in, hope this does not mean another 30year old plus looking to see out his days with a decent wage, thought Conroy fitted that bill.
