Eventually though LL clubs that wouldn't be able to hack it in the EoS premier after being relegated will be gone and will have been replaced by clubs that will see the benefit in being able to bounce back again more easily.

Not sure what your problem is with the travelling. The conveyor belt of previous managers havent exactly been Borders based either. The Borders has a history for the best players wanting to stay amateur and play local wi their pals. Between that and trying to compete wi Gala makes managing the Vale a tough gig for anybody.

But not if you stay past Innerleithen southwards. And the M8 or 9 isn't like the roads going down to Innerleithen.

But the dad then said they train in Edinburgh. So probably only travel once a fortnight mostly.

Went to Gorebridge and not another car on it hardly. And must be the smoothest road in scotland. Not a pothole to be seen. And it was quicker. Where and who spied on him ? A signing out of nowhere. Young lad wi bags of potential, good wi the ball at his feet and can play anywhere not just centre half. Disappointed to see him go. Good luck to the lad.

Leaves the A7 (to Gorebridge) nice and quiet for a gentle cruise home.

Auld Heid
I really felt for VoL as they were totally out their depth and the gulf was far greater than the final result. So it was to their credit that they didn't resort to dark arts or stop trying to play the game in the right way. -
