This isn't Championship Manager you know. Never said they were shite, but in no way were they the best in the world at their positions last year. The idea that Ramos was better than the likes of Koulibaly, Laporte etc... is laugable.

Bairnardo
I undersrand the concept of splitting the centre halfs and the keeper passing to one of them, but see when the opposition are so obviously wise to it, as we are seeing more and more these days, why persist with it? Some of the near defensove calamities you see from top teams because they insist on restarting play from almost their own byline blows my mind. Bayern doing it tonight.

That's how top teams play, the idea is they are good enough to pass round you. Would you suggest they launch it instead? Are you Jose Mourinho?

Marcelo and Ramos were in this team of the year despite having won the square root of f**k all and not being anywhere near the best (well top 2 in Ramos's case) in their position over that time period (last season).

I would suggest that if in the time its took you to get in position, three opposition forwards are stood on your 18 yd line waiting to close you down immediately, you might wish to try something else. I would further suggest that your inference that teams who play this way should commit to it to the total exclusion of all other tactics is not only the reason why you are a multi account P&B fantasist rather than a manager, but also why we all laugh at you on a regular basis.

With the team they have they really should be beating a team like Club Brugge at home. Attempts to mock you? You shot your bolt too soon and deserve to be laughed at for it, along with the others.

This isn't Championship Manager you know. It would be good if they did team of the year regularly, like once a year, so we didnt have to rely on trophies won years ago as a gauge of current form. Pipe dream though. Thus, no defender will ever be as good as Sergio Ramos until they exactly match his trophy hall. A good example of the fucking drivel you are ridiculed on here for.

Or are first choice at the biggest club in the world right now for example, otherwise Beckenbauer would be up there. It would be good if idiots didn't think football is like a computer game where its impossible a team struggling for form can concede two goals (one a freak goal) against a decent side and they're doing so is a reflection on the quality of two of the most decorated CB's currently playing professional football.

In your opinion. You might notice your opinion differs with people who actually know what they're talking about, hence the award to these individuals in the first place. For some that would give pause for thought.

Yet the top teams continue to play like that, even moreso after this seasons rule change about being allowed in the box. I wonder who's right, you or Gaurdiola? Decorated being especially relevant in the judgement of say... Lionel Messi, who has won the square root of f**k all at national level and yet is regarded as possibly the finest footballer alive or dead. Its almost as if you can judge players performance regardless of medals won.

Reasonably so, yet his ranking in football is certainly not proportional to his medals won, or your stupid and irrelevant criteria for team of the year, since he has done f**k all at national level and yet is widely considered the best of all time.
