Explain what you mean here.  How would it possibly recreate the situation down south?

Say Celtic get £36 million from the champions league divided equally to the top tier clubs in Scotland is £3 million each.
The league the doomhamers are in would get left behind the gap would be the grand canyon.

For God's sake Willy.
Academies cost money.  Scouting networks cost money.  Promising kids are attracted to sides with greater resources.
Celtic usually win because they can afford to.  Your failure to recognise that very simple fact is laughable.
Much as i hate it you have proved willy's point here in this regard. The more talented kids will gravitate to the biggest club as they & their parents will look on it uncritically and see the pathway to fame & riches, the reality is somewhat different however & these kids lose out on that critical formative period which means they will never become the players they could have been. That is not Celtic or Rangers fault as they are only looking after their own interests & rightly do. The fault is more down to the parents not doing what is right for their childs sporting development which loops back into a different argument altogether & which is why Scotland will always fail in footballing terms. Look at VVD's pathway for an example.

Whit?

How on earth does any of that "prove Willy's point" that football success is barely related to financial muscle?

Before, you said "spread equally". Now you've confined it just to the top tier.

Celtic get beaten with a stick every time we take young talent from other clubs in Scotland if Celtic produce our own there is no need to weaken the opposition.

I'm sorry I forgot you know nothing about the game it's only the dosh you are interested in.

I would humbly suggest that in recognising the relationship between "dosh" and performance, I might know a little more than you appear to.

Willy just concede that we’d all like a ‘levelled-up’ competition in Scottish football.
But acknowledge that Monkey is championing this noble movement by cheering on foreign clubs in Europe.

That way he can inflict his boring pishy analogies on someone else.

No analogies really.

Just questions about how people reconcile having wildly opposing views about how resources should be allocated in the wider world, and with regard to football.

It seems that for some Celtic fans, there's a self serving contradiction.

Where he was talking about them bringing Academy players through, the rest of his argument around money being unimportant is utter gibberish.
